Program_Layout 1 10/3/2014 9:58 AM Page 2 Safe Kids Grand Forks is a region-wide coalition whose mission is to prevent unintentional injuries and death to children and youth 19 years of age and younger. We cover Northeast North Dakota and Northwest Minnesota. Safe Kids has built a vast coalition of health care providers, government and community agencies, schools, churches, businesses and individuals that work together in a collaborative nature to keep the children of our region safe from their number one cause of death - unintentional injury. We base the development and implementation of programs on the five E's of injury prevention - education, encouragement, engineering, enforcement, and evaluation. Safe Kids Grand Forks has resources available on many different injury prevention topics such as: Child Passenger Safety, Pedestrian Safety, Home Safety, Sports Safety, Water Safety, Wheeled Sports and much more! We have many ways you can connect with Safe Kids Grand Forks including our website (safekidsgf.com), quarterly newsletter (sign up at altru.org, click on for visitors tab and get Altru enews ), facebook, twitter, blog (areavoices.com), classes and events. We also have an extensive array of flyers, brochures and fact sheets on various safety topics. All these items are available to you for FREE.
