Cisco to work with JDA to make Jaipur a smart city- Economic Times-21 May "Smart city infrastructure will improve the efficiency and quality of services received by 3.5 million residents and over 40 million tourists who visit the Capital city of Rajasthan every year. "We will set up the digital infrastructure to offer citizens amenities including connected transport, interactive kiosks, wireless broadband, safety and security services, traffic management and environmental updates," JDA Commissioner Shikhar Agarwal told PTI. There will also be a Command and Control Centre as a Response Control Room to manage the city with greater efficiency and effectiveness, he added.

Cities Have Traditionally Addressed These Issues in Silos Every city department makes investments independently resulting in: No sharing of infrastructure costs and IT resources No sharing of intelligence/information, e.g., video feeds, data from sensors, etc. Waste and duplication of investment and effort Difficulty in scaling infrastructure management Traffic management Public safety City lighting Pollution/ environment Waste management Parking optimisation This fragmented approach is inefficient, has limited effectiveness, and is not economical Cisco Confidential 3

City Infrastructure Services need to make millions of contextual real time decisions/minute From City Portal, the city manager manages city (asset) infrastructure; The business manager manages an ad campaign, with location-based decisions Home/ Citizen/ Tourist By using city Wi-Fi, citizens/tourists access location-sensitive services, such as coupons, promotions, parking guidance Mobile apps Commercial Business/retail manager Campaign Portal City Portal City Agencies City Infrastructure Management City Wi-Fi Infrastructure City (Asset) Infrastructure Cisco Confidential 4

Manage street lighting to reduce energy and maintenance costs Automatically detect security incidents, shorten response time, and analyze data to reduce crime Provide real time view of people, sensors and flow data to aid planning, commerce, tourism for contextual content & advertising CIM City Data Layer Application enablement layer City Network - Infrastructure Layer Cisco Confidential 5

CIM is the ios/android for urban services Who For citizens: better service experience through real time access to context-aware infrastructure services such as traffic, parking, lighting, environment etc. For urban service operators: Revenue/cost optimization through real time intelligence and responses across silo agencies and systems. CIM Partners South bound device integration such as parking meters, lighting sensors, traffic, water meters etc. North bound API consumed by end user apps such as, N3N, AGT. Partners that consume CIM are Urban community operators and Service providers Why CIM Addressing the urban services industry. CIM is an information layer that cuts across City silo s increasing service effectiveness and efficiency. Normalizes and instrument device/sensors abstracting complexity for city centric apps to deliver next generation urban services. Why CIM from Cisco Network-centric API: composite contextual APIs based on relationships between interconnected sensors and things, not discrete parameters (both data and infra abstraction) Ecosystem scaling: Multiple sensor companies connecting in south bound and applications in the north bound with rich city specific services. Distributed Architecture: fully distributed real-time execution at edge of fog ensures performance and scalability leveraging IOX Cisco Confidential 7
