New User Registration The People Development Network portal site is the gateway to the training system. To access the distance learning system, navigate to https://pearson.cyberu.com/client/pearson/selfreg/selfreglogin.aspx in your browser. The Pearson People Development Network (PDN) is the portal to all of PowerSchool s digital learning content. If you are a Pearson employee, please see the Employee Registration section. 1. To Register yourself as a new user, enter the following information in the corresponding fields: First Name Last Name E-mail Address Site Code. The code is PSS@01GB for ALL PowerSchool courses. 2. Click the Next button. 3. Enter your information in the fields provided: Role Leave this field as is PC/Mac - Enter the kind of computer on which you are taking this course. Use the list icon to choose your platform from the list District Name - The name of your School District School Name - The name of the school where your classes are held Grade Level Taught - The grade level(s) you currently teach Subject(s) Taught - The subject(s) you currently teach 4. Click the Next button. 5. Choose a password. The new password must match the following criteria: Passwords must contain alpha and numeric characters Passwords cannot have three or more consecutive same characters Passwords must be 6-20 characters Passwords cannot be the same as the previous 2 passwords Passwords cannot have leading or trailing spaces 6. Your Transcript Welcome Page Once you log in to the People Development Network, you will be brought to the Welcome Page. This page is divided into three sections: My Assigned Training, Online Training in Progress, and Training in Progress. My Assigned Training - A list of your assigned training by deadline. It also provides a link to your training in your transcript. This may consist of company-required courses or courses your manager assigns to you. Online Training In-Progress - Lists online training courses you have not yet completed. Training In-Progress - Training for which you have registered, but have not yet started Preferences Under the Home tab, there is an Edit Preferences link. Here you can change your email address, your password, set vacation status, and set your computer s platform. Your Transcript 1. From the home screen, click the View All Assignments link. Required training not yet added to your transcript, if any, appears first. These are courses that are assigned by your school district. 2. Select Add to Transcript to move the course into your transcript. Only the last 5 classes added to your Assigned Training will show up on the Welcome Page. To view ALL of your modules/courses, click the View All Assignments link. 3. Click Register to enroll in the course. 4. Click Launch to launch the course. All of your active training appears in the transcript table. The Status column denotes whether the training in your transcript is approved, denied, registered, in progress or completed. The status will also let you know if the training is pending some action by you. NOTE: You may have to click the All Training radio button to see your courses. Common Status Messages Registered You are enrolled in the class. Completed e-learning courses will automatically change to this status upon completion. Instructor-led training will show this status once we have received the signin sheet from the instructor and have closed out the class. In-Progress You have started that particular e-learning course. No-Show You were a no-show for the session. Withdrawn You have withdrawn from the session. (Not available for online courses.) Options Register - Once your requested training has been approved, you can register for it by clicking on this option. Withdraw - Click on this option to withdraw a pending request or to withdraw from a waitlist. Launch - Once you are registered for an e-learning course, you can launch it to begin learning by clicking on this option. Archived Transcript Once you have finished with a course, you can move it to your Archived Transcript. To move training to your Archived Transcript: 1. Click the Details link. 2. Select the Archive This Training link to move it to your Transcript Archive. The Transcript Archive may be accessed by clicking View Archived Transcript. To move archived training back to your active transcript, click on Move to Active Transcript link from the Transcript Archive. We are not able to remove items from your transcript. You may move any unwanted items to your archived transcript. Courses that appear to be shaded out on your transcript are archived. Add External Training External training relates to courses taken outside of Pearson and will not be used in this application. This is not a way to register for external courses. Reports Reports To run a certificate for a completed class: 1. Click on the Details for the class. 2. Select Print Certificate link or print this page. Cancel/Withdraw From Training 1. Click on the Reports tab. 2. Select the View Employee Transcripts link. 3. Select View Transcript next to the employee. 4. Under the Options column in the transcript and click Cancel. 5. Enter any reason that you want to cancel this training in the text box. 6. Click the Submit button. How to Run a Report The reports currently listed in this tab are the only ones available at this time. 1. Click the Reports tab and select the appropriate report. 2. Enter the parameters for the report. 3. Click the Search icon. 4. Your Report will be displayed. You will have the option to show a printable version of the report or export it to Excel. Disable Pop-Up Blocker. Pop-up Blockers If you click Launch and the course does not launch, try holding down the CTRL key when you click on Launch. If it does launch, then it means there is a pop-up blocker activated on your computer. You may see an indication at the top or bottom or your browser screen indicating something has been blocked. Microsoft Internet Explorer To Disable: Open Internet Explorer. Select Tools>Pop-up Blocker>Turn Off Pop-up Blocker. Yahoo To Disable: Click on the drop-down arrow on this icon on your Yahoo toolbar. Uncheck the Enable Pop-up Blocker. For additional information on the Yahoo pop-up blocker, please visit the Yahoo web site. Google To Disable: Look for the pop-up blocker icon on the Google toolbar. Click it to change settings to allow pop-ups from the People Development Network. For additional information on the Yahoo pop-up blocker, please visit the Google web site. Safari The Safari browser includes a pop-up blocker. It is indicated by a check-mark to the left of the item on the Safari menu. To allow pop-ups, click the menu item to remove the checkmark. Spam blockers Please add people.development@pearsoned.com and learning@pearsoned.com to your list of approved senders. Needs Assistance Link The Needs Assistance area consists of Frequently Asked Questions. Forgot Password Link Select the Forgot Password link and enter your User Name and select Submit. Your password will be sent to you via email. If you do not receive an email, you email address may not be in our system or it is incorrect.
