Thinking about Your Language Development Introduction This pack contains a small selection of English language awareness materials taken from a variety of ESOL textbooks. How to use the materials When using the materials, try to connect the language descriptions contained in this booklet (e.g. grammar explanations) with the English language you see and hear around you. Noticing how language works in real communication will help you to use more accurate English and the right language for a situation. Think about your language development as a continual process which involves speaking, writing, listening, reading, and thinking about the language you use.
