Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) Maintenance and Fees Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) Time cap on study in the UK at degree-level Tier 4 Visa (1) Students must only use the CAS number issued by the University that they wish to attend. If using a CAS number from a university, other than Warwick - not permitted to study at Warwick. When submitting documents, note any original document not written in English must be accompanied by a fully certified translation by a professional translator/translation company. If we have stated on your CAS that you have taken a Secure English Language Test eg IELTS, you should include the original test certificate with your Tier 4 application. Time cap on study in the UK at degree-level 27 28 Tier 4 Visa (2) Ensure you apply in good time for application processing, fingerprint scanning and TB test (where relevant) and with all the required documentation You might be invited for a credibility interview at a time of visa appointment Submit application: No more than three months in advance Check the UK Home Office website for details on how applications are processed in your country Check the University website: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/international/immigration/ CAS issued once you reply to the email asking you to confirm your details held by the University are correct! Tier 4 Visa (3) - Evidence of maintenance Proof you have a sufficient amount of money to fund your studies - Tuition fee plus 820 per month for 9 months ( 7380) Hold cash in an account for a continuous 28 day period ending no more than one month prior to date of Tier 4 application Hold funds in cash in your own account, or, a joint account (where both account holders names appear on the statement), or, you can use money held in an account owned by your parents/legal guardian. *If you are using a parent or guardian's bank statement as evidence of your finances obtain a letter confirming their relationship to you; agreement you can use the funds for your studies and include a birth certificate confirming your relationship to them. This must be original legal document or a notarised copy 29 30 5

Tier 4 Visa (4) - Evidence of maintenance An overseas account containing your local currency, will require confirmation on the application form of the closing balance in pounds sterling. Include a currency conversion printout with your visa application: OANDA.com Declaration of funds, all Tier 4 applicants will be required to sign a declaration that their funds will remain available to them, unless they are used to pay for course fees and living costs. Don t forget to pack your financial evidence in your hand luggage as you may be asked to show it at the UK airport.
