LCCI Computerised Book-keeping and Accounting qualifications The LCCI computerised book-keeping and accounting qualifications aim to develop students competence in using computerised accounting software to produce accurate, professional and well presented accounting information employing an appropriate range of accounting procedures. The qualifications are available at two levels: Level 2 Award in Computerised Book-keeping Skills Level 3 Award in Computerised Accounting Skills (UK accredited) As skills-based qualifications, they bridge the gap between the knowledge of book-keeping and accounting and the skills required to apply this knowledge to a computerised accounting system within the work environment. Who are the qualifications for? The Level 2 qualification is suitable for people whose job role requires the computerised processing of daily book-keeping and accounting transactions and preparation of routine reports. The Level 3 qualification is suitable for people whose job role requires the computerised processing and completion of advanced accounting transactions and the preparation of end period reports. Candidates pursuing these qualifications are required to have book-keeping and accounting knowledge and skills equivalent to the LCCI Level 2 Book-keeping and Accounts qualification.

Candidates are required to process a variety of business transactions and produce requested reports/documents accurately and in accordance with book-keeping practice in a computerised environment. The time allowed for the examination is 2.5 hours for Level 2 and 3 hours for Level 3. The examination is set and marked by EDI. Grades are determined by the types and number of errors occurring in candidates work.
