36 CO-OP PROGRAMS Greystone College offers a number of co-operative education programs designed for students who want to put their skills into practise in a co-op placement, and leave with real world job experience and references. Who should take a Co-op Program? Co-operative education is a perfect choice for students who want to: Build networks with Canadian employers in their industry Apply classroom learning in a real workplace environment Add relevant job experience and references to their resumes ACADEMIC STUDY Classroom study provides the foundational concepts and skills to prepare students for their co-op placement or future career. Work Placement Skills Class This 4-week course prepares students to apply for jobs in the Canadian market, and helps them develop and refine their resumes and cover letters. VANCOUVER BUSINESS PROGRAMS Study business at Greystone College Vancouver and prepare for a wide range of future career options in areas like human resources, international trade, administration, and more. All applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency. Please refer to the chart for the language level required for your chosen program. Medical Insurance It is mandatory in Canada, America and Australia for students to provide proof of medical insurance upon their arrival, and highly recommended that students travelling to India have medical insurance to cover them for the duration of their stay. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) AUSTRALIA RPL is the acknowledgement of a student's previous education and skills, if they are considered relevant to the current course of study. The RPL process is available to all students, and ILSC Business College, and ILSC TESOL College recognise the AQF Qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other registered training organisations. Applications for RPL must be submitted either before you enrol or during the first term of study. Applications for RPL will only be accepted if: you are enrolled in an approved course; and the appropriate fee has been paid; and the application is made in the first term of study RPL will be granted if you can show that you have successfully completed previous studies that are: of a similar duration; and at a similar or higher level; and of similar content RPL exemption only applies to the course you are enrolled in. If you change courses, your RPL will be reviewed to ensure that it is still appropriate. Students who are on a student visa are still required to attend class for 20 hours per week, as per the conditions of the visa.
