Section I: Creating the PURL 1. Go to Administration > PURL Management > PURLs 2. Click Add Personalized URL

3. In the Edit PURL screen, Name your PURL, Select the URL type, Assign a Project, and assign a Redirect URL. The Redirect URL is where the Continue button will route at the end of the survey. 4. Click Save PURL 5. You can add a CSS Style Sheet to your PURL if you chose (this is optional). To do this, select a CSS from the drop down list. To add a new CSS, click the Edit CSS link. 6. Click Add Style Sheet in the top right corner: 7. Name the Style Sheet, Browse for the file, Click Open. Then, click Upload 8. Click the Add URL link in the URLs section 9. Type the domain you wish to use for your personalized web address {i.e. customer survey.com} *you will need to purchase new domains through directnic.com or godaddy.com. Then assign the new domain to the correct IP address.

10. Click Save URL 11. Click the Add Page link in the Pages section in order to create your web page 12. The HTML editor menu will appear *Suggestion when getting started: Create a 1 cell chart with a width between 600 and 700 pixels in order to contain all contents of the page to remain organized and aligned properly. To do this, click the Insert Table icon. Specify 1 column and 1 row with a width of 645 pixels.

13. Now you can begin creating the content (text and graphics) of your email. Using the creative menu at the top of the screen, you can be as creative or simple as you chose. If you roll your mouse over each icon, the function of the icon will appear. *Note: When you want to insert variable text, click on the variable in the right panel, rather than manually typing [[First_Name]]. The variables that appear in the right panel come from the Project you assigned to the email. **Note: When you want to insert a question, click on the question in the right panel, rather than manually typing the question. You will learn how to set up the questions in section II.

14. Once you have finished creating your PURL click Save HTML at the very bottom. You can go back and Edit the PURL at any time. *Note: you can add another page to your PURL by simply clicking the Add Page link under the Pages Section. Then repeat Steps 11 14.

Section II: Creating the PURL Questions 1. Go to Administration > PURL Management > PURL Questions 2. Click the Add Question Link in the upper right hand corner

3. Type the Question Name: {i.e. Did you enjoy your visit to our shop?} 4. Type the Question Description: This can be the same as the Name *Copy and Paste the Question Name into Question Description as shown above. 5. Select the Question Type: Yes/No (as shown above) Rating Scale {i.e. Rate the quality of your coffee drink or snack}

Text Input {empty text box where the recipient can type in information} Large Text Box {i.e. Please provide us with any suggestions}

6. Specify whether the question is required or not 7. Click Add Question 8. In Order to place the question into the PURL, click the PURLs link in the Navigator section 9. Click Edit beside the PURL you wish to edit 10. Click the Edit button under the Pages section 11. Inside the HTML Editor, your new question will appear in the right hand panel under the questions section.

12. Simply place your cursor where you want the question to appear and click on the question in the right panel. The question will appear in a table format. By right clicking within the table, you can adjust the appearance of the table and how the question appears. 13. Continue to Edit your PURL as needed, then Click Save HTML at the bottom.
