Advanced Project Management: Action Learning and Case Study Workshop OVERVIEW: The objective of this training workshop in advanced project management is to guarantee participants gain a pragmatic and comprehensive guide to managing projects by applying project management tools, techniques and strategies in real-time. This workshop will allow participants to apply the principles of project management to an experiential case study. Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and applications needed to effectively manage a project in a simulated project-based environment. Participants will also develop the capabilities to develop and use key project management documents. The PM tools, techniques and methodologies are in line with International Standards as established by the Project Management Institute s (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide, Fourth Edition), and in accordance with Industry Best Practices. FACILITATOR S BIO-SKETCH: MRS. CYNTHIA HAYES Cynthia Hayes is a faculty member of the Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies in the B.Sc. Project Management Programme. She is an External Examiner with the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business (UWI) for a number of modules which includes EMBA Project Management and three (3) modules in the Master of Institutional Innovation and Effectiveness programme. Since 2005 she has been involved in Training for PMI s Project Management Professional (PMP ) credential examination and continues to facilitate workshops in the areas of Project Management. She serves on the Boards of the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries (TTCSI), Creative Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (CreativeTT: MusicTT, FashionTT and FilmTT) and is the Immediate Past President of the PMI Southern Caribbean Chapter. Cynthia has over thirty (30) years experience working in a project based environment and was responsible for designing, implementing and heading the Project Management Office (PMO) for a group of companies in the Construction Industry. 4
