ICTS Initiatives: Mobile Wireless Contract Objective: Mobility is the fastest growing area of telecommunications within government. The Province currently has more than 5,600 wireless devices in service. Included within these devices are cellular phones, SmartPhones, PCs, tablets, modems/data sticks, automatic vehicle location (AVL), and data devices. As government begins to realize its vision for Unified Communications, and moves towards a more mobile workforce, use of mobile wireless services and mobile data consumption, is expected to grow substantially. Resource being sought: Deliverable is a contract to provide mobile services Requirements include those of the Province, and specifically named MASH partners. Includes a provision for the successful supplier(s) to be able to supply services to the wider MASH sector as well More than 9,000 wireless devices will be formally represented in this request Procurement process: Request for Proposals (RFP) to be launched for Mobile Wireless Services. RFP to be launched Q1 2015 (calendar year)
ICTS Initiatives: Customer Experience Project Purpose: The Customer experience project is meant to advance the ICTS agenda on Service Excellence and service consistency through the adoption of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM). CEP will provide clarity to ICTS clients on what services we provide, how we deliver them (who, what, when, where and how), and will implement solid processes to streamline our work. This project is being re-planned to accommodate a shared services scope as seen as a key enabler for success in the new model Resources being sought: Require an iimplementation partner for ITIL/ITSM processes and change management processes Procurement Process Expec to launch an RFP for professional services, Q1, 2015 (Calendar)
ICTS Initiatives: IT Service Continuity Purpose ITSC is a subset of business continuity planning (BCP) and includes IT disaster recovery planning (DRP) and execution. As part of the CIO s continuous improvements in its DR planning and its implementation, the ITSC program was established to unify the DR planning and core technology functions (e.g. second data centre), and align the foundational technology services and investments with the business priorities of the provincial government. In order to achieve the purpose, the ITSC program will support the overall Business Continuity Management process by ensuring that the required IT technical and services facilities including computer systems, networks, applications, telecommunications, and technical support can be recovered within required, and agreed, business timescales Resources being sought Project manager, business analyst, and a solution architect for Requirements Analysis and Implementation Planning Phase Procurement Process TBD Expect request to be issued Q1, 2015 (calendar)
ICTS Initiatives: Signet (Identity and Access Management) Purpose The Signet project is focused on creating the foundation for access management for internal government, and external citizenry as we move toward egovernment and online services. The initiative is foundational to Access to Business and Access for Citizens (A2B A4C) initiatives, which is aimed toward increasing convenience by reducing the need for in-person transactions. Phase one is complete - Phase 2 is to select and implement a tool for external (citizenry) use Resources being sought The Province requires a partner as part of Phase 2 to provide an IAM tool and to implement that tool into production Response should include experts in the proposed tool, experts in IAM - business analysts, & technical analysts Procurement process RFP expected to be launched Q4, 2014 (calendar)
ICTS Initiatives: Security Information and Event Management Purpose The Province is looking for opportunities to further enhance its security abilities. A Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution (either as an on-premises tool, or provided via a managed service provider) is being explored. Resources being sought SIEM tool, and expertise to implement such a tool Request may be to provide a managed service Procurement process Expect RFP to be launched late Q4, 2014 (calendar) Timing and details yet to be confirmed
ICTS Initiatives: Network Upgrade Wireless Purpose The Network Upgrade project is focused on upgrading core network infrastructure including the introduction of a corporate wireless service. A search for an implementation partner of the wireless service is planned for the end of the year, with implementation commending January 2015 and completing in October, 2015. Resources being sought An implementation partner for the wireless service will be required: resources include a project manager, project coordinator and implementation resources. Procurement process Expec to launch an RFP for professional services in Q4 2014.
