Definition of Government Integrated Data Center GIDC provides facility infrastructures, ICT infrastructures and e-government application services that are required for a flawless access to the information between G2G, G2C, G2B By providing optimal system environment, GIDC offers reliability, stability, security and expandability to the e-government applications allowing them to minimize operation cost and concentrate in their main administration domain Government offices (Central, Local, Agency) G2G G2C Gov. Network Citizen Internet G2B Private Business Company
Components of a GIDC Integration Data Center Business Continuity Plan Incident Management plan Disaster Recovery System > Disaster Recovery Plan > > Business Recovery Plan Integrated Data Center for consolidation of data and other IT resources for efficient operation A system to prepare for organizational, IT resource, and task restoration disaster response to ensure business continuity Disaster recovery system between centers, operation of an integrated security system
Background and Purpose of Government Integrated Data Center Establishment of a Government Integration Data Center (GIDC) can accelerate the integration of the administrative data, applications, and services of national ministries and agencies Consolidation Need to reduce IT equipment redundancy Coordination Need for systematic disaster recovery coordination Competency Need for better operational expertise by selected personnel
Before a GIDC is Established Scattered information systems of individual ministries create problems such as redundant investments, gaps in system utilization, inferior computing environment and IT specialists, lack of protection and security in facilities Government Offices (Central, Local, Agency) G2G Ministry of Finance e-tax, Portal, Groupware Server, Route, Storage UPS, Air-Circulation Citizen G2C Gov. Network Internet Ministry of Home Affairs e-land, NID, Groupware Server, Route, Storage UPS, Air-Circulation G2B Private Business Company Ministry of Education e-education, Groupware Server, Route, Storage UPS, Air-Circulation
After a GIDC is Established As a comprehensive solution to these problems, the various information systems of each government ministry was consolidated and developed into a Single GIDC Government offices (Central, Local, Agency) G2G Government Integration Data Center e-gov.
