1 What is SSLPost Cloud? SSLPost Cloud is a simple and cost effective method with which to encrypt your email and file attachments. 2 Why do I need SSLPost Cloud? Sending documents via traditional post using recorded or registered delivery can cost hundreds of pounds per year. Add to that the cost of printing and sending someone to mail it and you are still left wondering if it has arrived with your desired recipient! If the email contains information that is sensitive or confidential, SSLPost Cloud allows you to encrypt the information with just one click so that it can only be opened by the intended recipient. 9 Where is my email stored? Your email is stored on your server and the server of your recipient only. We do not store any of your email content unless you require us to do so via special arrangement. 11 How secure is SSLPost Cloud? SSLPost Cloud uses a mix of block and transport encryption processes. Secure Socket Layers (SSL) are used with a 256-bit key to encrypt communication from the sender to our servers (most credit card transactions only use 128-bit encryption). On our servers we encrypt using block encryption, which uses a combination of 256-bit symmetric and 2048-bit asymmetric processes. This is sent to the recipient over normal email (i.e. smtp). 14 Is there a limit to the number of emails I can send securely? SSLPost Cloud is designed for fair and reasonable use. It allows you to send up to 6000 secure emails per year. 15 Do I need a digital certificate? No. SSLPost Cloud uses a password as the primary authentication method, thus eliminating the certificate distribution issues which occur in many similar systems. 2013 SSLPost Page 17 of 31 support@sslpost.com
16 Does the person I am sending to require an SSLPost Cloud account? The person you are sending the message to will be automatically set up with a free account. They will automatically receive a Welcome email that requests them to complete a quick and simple registration and to set up a password. This is a one-off set up that takes very little time to complete. 17 Can the recipient send SSLPost Cloud emails to anyone on their contacts list? If the recipient has not purchased an SSLPost Cloud licence, the recipient can respond to your email only. 18 How long does it take to open a secure email attachment? Opening a secure email attachment normally takes seconds. However, this depends on the size of the attachment and the speed of your internet connection. 2013 SSLPost Page 20 of 31 support@sslpost.com
19 How do I contact the Support Team? Call 0906 776 7766 or email customerservice@sslpost.com. Calls from landlines will be charged at 1.02 per minute, calls from mobile may be higher. Lines are open 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. We aim to respond to your email within 24 hours (weekdays). 21 Can I track messages I have sent? Yes. SSLPost Cloud tracks all messages, including whether they have been successfully opened. 22 Can I cancel a sent message? Yes, SSLPost Cloud provides a revocation facility. To cancel a sent message log into your SSLPost Cloud account and under ' Sent Messages' select ' Update Settings' to change the Seal status of a message. A revoked message cannot then be decoded. You may only revoke access effectively if the email has not been opened by the recipient. All further attempts to access the email following revocation will be unsuccessful. 24 How does the recipient decode an encrypted message? When they receive your first secure message via SSLPost Cloud, they will receive two secure emails; one will be a Welcome Email requesting them to set a unique password by clicking a link, the other will be the original secure email you have sent to them. This second email will instruct them to click a decode button and enter in their unique password (please note, the recipient will only receive a Welcome Email the very first time they are sent a secure message via SSLPost Cloud). 25 Will SSLPost Cloud work with my mobile phone? You can send and receive encrypted emails via your mobile phone or tablet device provided you have a valid email account and Internet browser on that mobile device.
