2015-2016 Academic Year International Student s Admission (Associate Degree - Undergraduate Programs) 1) APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS B- Applying Candidates: a) With the condition that the students are in their last year of/or have graduated from high school; (1) Foreign nationals, (2) - Those who were born as Turkish citizen and get permission for deprivation of citizenship from the Ministry of Interior and those who provide certificate in accordance with the law no. 5901 (3)Holders of dual citizenships; those who possess both a foreign citizenship and Turkish citizenship *(4) a) Canditates of Turkish nationalities who have started secondary education abroad before 01/02/2013 and have completed the last 3 years of high school education in a foreign country, apart from those that have completed secondary educationwithintrnc. Also including students that have completed their entire secondary education in a foreign country (outside of TRNC) within a Turkish high school in the presence of the Ministry of Education can apply in the foreign student quota. b) Candidates who have started or completed their entire secondary education after 01/02/2013 in a foreign country (except TRNC) within a Turkish high school in the presence of Ministry of Education can also apply in the feorign students quota. (5) Applications from candidates that are citizens and residents of TRNC, and have completed their secondary education as well as possess GCE/AL exam results, also applications from canditates of other foreign countries that have recieved or are awaiting GCE/AL results from college or high school will be considered for acceptance b) Candidates (1) Those who are TR citizens and completed high school in Turkey or TRNC, (2) Those who are TRNC citizens (except those who complete high school education in TRNC schools, having GCE AL exam results and those who get education between 2005 and 2010 in colleges/high schools in other foreign countries and have/will have GCE Al exam results.) *(3)As defined in Article a Section 2, those who are dual citizens and first citizenships of them is TR ( expect providing conditions Article a Section 4) (4)-Those who are dual citizens and one of the citizenships of them is TRNC (except those who complete high school education in TRNC, having GCE AL exam results and those get education between 2005 and 2010 in colleges/high schools in other foreign countries and have/will have GCE Al exam results.) (5)Those who are TR citizens and study in foreign high schools in Turkey or in schools affiliated to the embassies in Turkey, or those who were born as Turkish citizen and have dual citizenships as defined in Article 1 Section b.,candidates whose applications shall not be accepted. * : In accordance with the 8th council of state decision datedon 05/21/2014, to suspend the executive, that was issued by the department of higher education assembly at their meeting dated on 16/07/2014,based on authority granted to the executive committee board, w,th regard to the decision taken by the state council, related candidates will be able to apply for the Higher education committee board.

3) ENTRANCE GRADE (1) Entrance grade; Applicant of each candidate exam point, after it has been converted to a score out of 100 a- %100of İnternational Exam Score b- % 100 of ABITUR, FRENCH BACCALAUREATE, AUSTRIA MATURA c- %90 of BKÜB YÖS Exam (Association of University of Western Black Sea 2015) d- %90 of KÜNİB e-yös Exam (Caucaus Üniversity Association YÖS Exam) e- %90 of YÖS exam held by universities in Turkey f- % 60 of High School Graduation score is calculated. g- If there is equity in the scores, primarily prefer is for younger candidates and later for newly graduated ones (2)Evaluation for the units which necessitates special ability test is carried out in the following steps. a- Primarily Entrance score of the candidate is calculated. b- Aptitude exams are evaluated out of 100, c- %30 of candidate entrance score and %70 of special ability exam scoreare calculated and created placement score.the settlement is considered to be unsuccessful candidates who score below 50. ç- Evaluation of applications, is carried out according to the regulations of special ability test. 4) DETERMINING THE QUOTA (1)Quotas;,by condition do not exceed 50% of the previous year programs quotas that located in ÖSYS Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide, determined by Sakarya University Senate. Evaluation of the application and placement of the candidates are made based on Entrance Grade and on the condition that the candidate has minimum requirements in the principles Students who enroll with first placed can not apply for additional quotas. (2)Sakarya University is free to fill the quotas.fulfilling the application requirements does not guarantee admission to the programs. 5) ONLINE APPLICATION PROCEDURES (1)There is no fee for application (2)During the application students will fill in the information required from them, they will load the documentation to system. (3)During evaluation if find missing information and/or documentapplication will be canceled (4) Candidates who will be apply with high school graduation grade, definitely load a document that showing the High School graduation grade. (5)The originals of documents that were loaded during the application will be delivered to registration officer during the register (6) The applications are made via the SAU website of the dates specified in the academic calendar. (7)Candidates can choose total six (6) different programs from max 2(two)different faculty. (8)Each candidate can only make one application,, if detected that more than one application all applications will be canceled (9)Acceptance of students from abroad used only one exam in Table 1 and 2 6) EVALUATION (1)The Result of evaluation,other options of the candidate who is placed to one of his choices are not taken into consideration. (3)İnvitation letters transmittied to candidates who gain the main or alternate register right (after having obtained the right to register alternate candidates)by e-mail or http://www.ogrisl.sakarya.edu.tr/index.php?pid=yabanci from website. 7) REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS Required documents for registration; (1)High School diploma and notary certified translation into Turkish. (2)"Equıvalency Certıfıcat for showing that the candidates high school diplomas are equivalent to Turkish High School Diploma taken from the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Education or Turkish Embassy in that country. (3)- Original Transcript and approved translation from Turkish Embassy or Consulate in their countries. (4)TÖMER Certificate (Turkish Proficiency Certificate taken from TÖMER centres of universities in Turkey or Turkish Proficiency Certificate taken from Yunus Emre Institute) (5)Original Certificate of Examination Result that used to apply (6)Foreign students will be looking at whether the legal resident in Turkey.Looking at the date of the student's entry into Turkey andif someone visa exemption end will not be recorded. The visa exemption periods are implemented differently for each country. Students can learn the period of their Country from consulates from the internet or from the Police Office. (7)Certified copy of the Residence Permit for education. (Must be delivered to Student Affairs in a month after registration) (8)Blue Card photocopy for Blue Card holders (9)Identity register copy for students who have dual citizenship (It can be taken from Civil Registry) (10)- 6 pieces 4.5x6 cm size photo. 8) ) TURKISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL (1) Turkish Language Proficiency level; C1 Level: Turkish is sufficient. The student can start his/her education in our university. B2 Level:Student s level of Turkish language can improve in a short time. The student starts receiving education, but he/she has to increase his/her level of proficiency of Turkish language to C1 level until the graduation on condition that he/she attends Turkish courses opened by Sakarya TÖMER. B1- A2-A1 Level:Turkish is insufficient.the student will have permission for 1+1 year. (For those whocannot raise sufficient level for the level of Turkish at the end of one yeargiven 1 more yearadditional time. But, this additional time is counted from the study period.)at the end of times, Turkish proficiency levels required to remove the B2 level At the end of the specified period those not present Turkish Language Proficiency Document dismissed from the university.. (2)Candidates have to certify their level of Turkish Language proficiency. (TÖMER certificates of universities or Yunus Emre Institute are valid.) Level of Turkish Language proficiency of candidates who cannot present this document is determined by Turkish LanguageProficiency Exam organized by Sakarya TÖMER TÖMER Certificate, In the last 2 years as the date of register must be taken. Students who graduated from Turkish High Schools of Ministry of National Education are accepted that their Turkish level is sufficient.
9) FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL (English-German-Arabic) Candidates accepted for programs which provide education/partly education in foreign language have to present result document of International Foreign Language Exam which is accepted by Interuniversity Council in registration time. (Equivalences for these exams are determined by commission.) Students who cannot present this document have to take Language Proficiency Exam If students who are registered in programs providing education/partly education in English, German, Arabic do not present Foreign Language Proficiency certificate or if they are unsuccessful in Foreign Language Proficiency Exam, they will continue foreign language education according to Regulations. 10) RESPONSIBILITIES OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS - Come to Turkey for study or Foreign Students in Turkey (1)Make the necessary operations, and obtain documents according to Turkish law, (Foreign İdentification Number etc.) (2)Receiving a residence permit from Police Department before the education starts (within 1 month after the entrance with student visa), (3)Based to residence permit that taken from security authorities during the study,submitting Student Certificate to security authorities every year (4)Notifying changes of personal details, marital status and state of education to the Directorate of Student Affairs in 15 days at the latest, (5)During their education if they wish to extend their residence, from the end of the written period on residence permit within 15 days, by condition to document that they continue their education,are taking the new one from local security authorities (6) By applying immediately for Getting a new residence permit or passport in 15 days if the students lose these document, (7)Notifying changes of telephone number, residental address or education institution, within 48 hoursit changes are obliged to report to local security authorities of the place that they leave or narrated.
