The project Development of an integrated asset management system voor optimal control and performance of offshore windfarms. Focus area s: Integration of data sources Improvement of communication and information Improvement of system performance Reduction of O&M costs Tactical and strategic decision support Development: DOWES is à 5 year R&D project, ending december 2013
Goal DOWES project Within the Ducht Offshore Wind Energy Services (DOWES) project a uniform asset management systems for the wind energy industry is beïng developed which contributes to: Increased wind portfolio value Reduced project and portfolio risk during the asset life time Reduced dependency of original equipment manufacturers and long term contract partners
DOWES system Benefits DOWES is a high quality asset mangement system encompassing: Information to increase insights and control of asset owner Monitoring function (operations and contracts) Building up a historical database: (SCADA data, project documents, maintenance activities) Dedicated software configuration Modulair based asset management system System configuration and functionality is based on existing hardware
Standards DOWES System The configuration of the asset management system is based on existing and upcoming or foreseen standards to ensure high quality, robust and uniform integration and utilisation for any turbine brand, type and class. The DOWES system includes: PAS 55 compliant ISO 55.000 ready Technical breakdown in line with VGB RDS-PP standard
DOWES System Project database The basis of the DOWES system is a profound Document Management System providing: Operational information, actions, notes, pictures, inspections Logical structure of subcomponents, various partners / actors / contractors Information w.r.t. analyses, events and change of ownership Reduction of process- and information costs Information symmetry between authorised actors / persons
DOWES System Contract compliance & control The DOWES system enables efficient management and information on: Production Availability HSEQ Contact compliance Critical Performance indicators cost drivers performance killers Shareholders information The system provides the possibility to generate automated management and shareholders reports
DOWES System Staying on top of OEM performance and activities Monitoring, system intelligence and analyses provide insight to start in depth discussions with the OEM on: Status and activities Planning Strategy Costs Production
DOWES System Operational Support The DOWES system enables operational support by: HSEQ monitoring integration Wheather forecast Planning interface Activity & information allignment Owner inspection support Contract compliance KPI s (e.g. CD & PK)
Strategical Support DOWES System Besides operational (short term) support the system provides added value by monitoring, analyses and management over the life time of the wind farm: Performance & failure analyses Benchmarking Long term O&M strategy Life Cycle Management
Portfolio Besides forementioned functionalities on WT park level the DOWES system also provides the possibilities to support a company portfolio. Additional aspects include: Performance benchmark over different wind parks Production Performance Costs Performance benchmark over different WT s DOWES System
Added value The DOWES system provides: Increased independency Increase asset value Decreased operational costs (even more on the long term) Increased position for the postwarranty period Decreased project risks DOWES System And Easy to navigate software..!
Onshore demo DOWES demo A first implementation of the DOWES system has been realized in an onshore operational wind park: 8 600kw NegMicon turbines Partner: Validation and input:
