A bachelor s (1 st -cycle) programme in a relevant field: special pedagogics (1424) including inclusive pedagogy, hearing impaired education, visually impaired education, pedagogy of specific learning difficulties and speech therapy (7263); 2. A bachelor s (1 st -cycle) programme in one of the following fields: education and teacher training (1), psychology (311). Prior to enrolment, candidates must fulfil study obligations corresponding to 30 ECTS credits under the bachelor s programme, a training programme or by taking placement tests. Candidates must fulfil the following obligations, each corresponding to 5 ECTS credits: Pedagogy, Special Pedagogy, Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Didactics and methodology of Pedagogical Research ; 3. Candidates are advised to familiarise themselves with recent findings in basic pedagogical fields (special pedagogics, pedagogics, developmental psychology, didactics, methodology of pedagogical research). Candidate may be awarded up to 30 ECTS credits and enrol in the corresponding year; 5. A bachelor s vocational programme adopted prior to 11 June 2004 in the field of training for pre-school teachers (143). Prior to enrolment, candidates must fulfil study obligations corresponding to 30 ECTS credits under the bachelor s programme, a training programme or by taking placement tests. Candidates must fulfil the following obligations, each corresponding to 5 ECTS credits: Pedagogy, Special Pedagogy, Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Didactics and methodology of Pedagogical Research. grade point average (80%); grade awarded for the thesis (20%). If the thesis is not required for completion of the programme, only the grade point average shall be taken into account (100%). Prior to enrolment, candidates must fulfil study obligations corresponding to 35 ECTS credits under the bachelor s programme, a training programme or by taking placement tests. Candidates must fulfil the following obligations: Preschool Pedagogic (7 ECTS), Language Activities in Kindergarten (4 ECTS), Sports in Outdoor Education (4 ECTS), Dancing Dramatization in the Kindergarten (4 ECTS), Art Expression and Space (4 ECTS), Music Activities in Kindergarten (4 ECTS), Children's Play and Research in Natural Environment (4 ECTS), Preparing and Realizing a Puppetry Project Performance (4 ECTS); 3. A bachelor s vocational programme adopted prior to 11 June 2004 in the relevant field: training for pre-school teachers (143); 4. An undergraduate programme adopted prior to 11 June 2004 in another field: pedagogics (1421), training for class teachers (1441), training for teachers in natural science subjects (1451), training for teachers in social science subjects (1452), training for teachers in foreign languages subjects (1453), training for teachers in arts and crafts subjects (1461), training for teachers in physical education subjects (1462), psychology (3111) and sociology (3121). These candidates are typically awarded 18 ECTS credits and may enrol in the corresponding year. In accordance with the transfer criteria, candidates may transfer to the master s (2 nd -cycle) programme Early Learning and Teaching from programmes in the field of early learning and preschool teacher training provided they lead to the acquisition of comparable competencies and provided that at least half of the obligations under the former study programme relating to compulsory subjects of the new programme can be recognized. LEADERSHIP IN EDUCATION SCIENCE OF EDUCATION Location: Maribor Duration: 3 years, 180 ECTS Candidates who completed the following may apply for the doctoral (3 rd -cylcle) programme Science of Education : A master s (2 nd -cycle) programme; An undergraduate programme adopted prior to 11 June 2004; A study programme educating students for professions regulated by EU directives or another master s programme corresponding to 300 ECTS credits; A bachelor s vocational programme adopted prior to 11 June 2004 and a specialisation programme. Prior to enrolment, these candidates must fulfil additional study obligations corresponding to 34 ECTS credits. Candidates must pass the following exams of the master s (2 nd -cycle) programme Elementary Education : one compulsory subject ( Methodology of Pedagogical Research ); three core subjects of the selected module (candidates choose between the modules Natural Sciences and Design, Social Sciences and Humanities or Aesthetics and Movement and two electives of the selected module. A master s programme (MSc) adopted prior to 11 June 2004 these candidates are awarded 60 ECTS credits. The Faculty s Committee for Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies decides on the recognition of study obligations. 2. A postgraduate programme adopted prior to 11 June 2004 and a specialisation programme. In accordance with the law, these candidates are awarded 60 ECTS credits. The Faculty s Committee for Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies decides which study obligations are to be recognized. In accordance with the transfer criteria, candidates may transfer to the doctoral (3 rd -cycle) programme Science of Education from doctoral (3 rd cycle) programmes in the field of pedagogics. Certain study obligations can be recognized and new ones are determined in order to earn a PhD degree. Candidates must submit an official print-out of the programme and a certificate of the exams passed. The Faculty s Committee for Postgraduate Studies examines the application and determines obligations to be fulfilled in order to earn a PhD degree. In accordance with the transfer criteria, candidates may transfer to the doctoral (3 rd -cycle) programme Leadership in Education from doctoral (3 rd cycle) programmes in the field of pedagogics and social sciences. Certain study obligations can be recognized and new ones are determined in order to earn a PhD degree. Candidates must submit an official print-out of the programme and a certificate of the exams passed. The Faculty s Committee for Postgraduate Studies examines the application and determines obligations to be fulfilled in order to earn a PhD degree.
