ICAC Workshop On 24 May 2015 Opening remarks by Ms. Grace Wong Mr. Joe Lee, Head of Advisory Services, ICAC, gave a presentation to introduce ethical regulation Closing remarks by Ms. Carrie Lau Group discussion and individual teams presentations Photo with Mr. Joe Lee together with CIPS HK Branch Officers Photo with Mr. Joe Lee Learning Points for ICAC workshop Maintaining Ethical Relationship with Suppliers Suggestions on best practices and measures were summarized from group discussions on 6 case studies in maintaining supplier relationship while handling grey areas in receiving gifts, hospitability, entertainment and other gratuities, and avoiding improper acts resulting in breach of law or professional integrity : - adhere to the principles of fair and transparent business dealings by selecting suppliers on appropriate and fair criteria - safeguard confidentiality of all supplier information - establish clear company policy & guidelines on handling gifts and hospitality from suppliers - set up reporting mechanism for gifts, hospitality, entertainment and other gratuities - set up and communicate supplier and employee code of conduct - avoid conflicts of interests by setting up mechanism for declaration of interest - conduct regular trainings and send reminders to employees and suppliers Page 3
