Marketing, Communications and Corporate Affairs (MCA) MCA Graduate Trainee Job Description The MCA Graduate Trainee will be involved in developing marketing campaigns to promote a product, service or idea. The role includes planning, advertising, public relations, organising events, product development, distribution, sponsorship and research. The work is targeted to be challenging, varied and exciting. For example, within online marketing, tasks may include designing and refining websites, portals and campaigns, facilitating media and analyst meetings, coordinating affiliate marketing strategies. Other areas will focus on perfecting a branding strategy, brokering strategic alliances or researching product and portfolio options. The MCA Graduate Trainees needs to be very responsive to market feedback, quick to learn new skills and adapt to changes. They also need to be extremely technologically savvy and have an understanding of the telecommunications market. Typical Work Activities MCA Graduate Trainee will be tasked to contribute to, and develop, integrated marketing campaigns. Tasks typically involve: liaising and networking with a range of internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, and product management, as well as externally with marketing agencies, media, industry analysts and possibly partner organisations communicating with target audiences and managing internal relationships managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters etc writing and proofreading copy arranging for the effective distribution of marketing materials organising and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions
conducting market research such as customer questionnaires and analyst research contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies evaluating marketing campaigns monitoring competitor activity supporting the marketing manager and other colleague Marketing Rotation Areas: Regional Marketing Contributes to customer relationship on operative level Provides professional support to customer relationship and Sales Organization Acts as a contact point for selected customers Creates demand for products and\or solutions by supporting the development of business opportunities Identifies products and\or solutions to meet customer needs at an optimum profitability Acts as a source of expertise for others in own product\sales area Understands key business drivers and uses this knowledge to focus on work Corporate Marketing Provides assistance in on development and implementation of marketing communications projects and programs. Runs 3 designated projects within corporate marketing from start to finish o Work with the regions o Gather competitive research and gain market knowledge o Clear deliverables at the end of each project Internal Communications Contributes to the development of communications plans\material and executes NSN's communications activities on a unit\project\topic basis Provides specialist expertise and consultancy from own area to peers and more widely to communications development work Develops communications content for relevant target audiences and channels, and executes plans accordingly Develops communications plans, processes, procedures and tools Understands the relationship between own work and communications processes and works proactively for improving the implementation of processes Considered as trustworthy beholder and deliverer of fact-based information on the company and its businesses Analyst Relations Assists in the communication of analyst information through appropriate internal channels Explore all subscribed analyst information for NSN relevant information Audit NSN sales on how they currently gather analyst information and how this information is being used in the sales process Educate internal people on how to use Singlepoint and analyst reports Assist with financial relations as appropriate managing content toolkits for use with the press and analyst communities Support key press and analyst events with content and co-ordination Media Relations Assists in the implementation of marketing messages through appropriate media
