International Student Desk The International Student Desk (ISD) is A point of reference for exchange students coming from all over the word The office committed to helping incoming students make the most of their stay on campus A dedicated team available to support all incoming exchange students in better adjusting to their new lives in Italy, in Milan and at Bocconi 16
International Student Desk Services and Activities The ISD offers exchange students a series of tailored services and activities to help them acclimatize to their new surroundings during the beginning of their program and support them throughout their stay. Orientation and relocation program A series of meetings organized at the beginning of each semester Welcome activities Information desk, welcome kit, university tours, guided tours of Milan, welcome cocktail, social activities. On top of this, several events are also organized by 80+ Bocconi students associations active on campus Housing support Accommodation in Bocconi Residence Halls Italian language courses Designed to help exchange students get familiar with Italian Academic advising Professors available to guide exchange students through their course selection 17

International Student Desk Italian Language Courses The International Student Desk organizes Italian language courses in order to help exchange students get familiar with Italian: Italian Language Crash Course An intensive course scheduled before the beginning of Bocconi classes Levels: from Beginner up to Advanced Workload: 40 hours Fee: 160 Italian Language Follow-Up Module An Italian language course scheduled during the semester Levels: from Pre-Elementary up to Intermediate Workload: 30 hours Fee: 130 Notes: Extra-curricular courses Attendance is mandatory 19
International Student Desk Academic Info Over 150 courses in English are offered each semester. Students select their classes online prior to their arrival. They will also have the chance to modify their study plan after attending the first days of classes (Add/Drop period) Academic Advising: 3 Professors (Business & Management/Economics/Law) are available to help incoming students build their study plan and assist them with any academic related matters. Study plan guidelines: Min. 2 - Max. 5 courses per semester Undergraduate students can choose only undergraduate courses (ad hoc exceptions to be evaluated) Language courses cannot be included in the study plan Bocconi Credit System is ECTS equivalent (1 Bocconi credit corresponds to a 25-hour workload, of which 8 lecture hours) 20
