Better Merchandising WHAT WE DO The products that retailers or manufacturers offer customers represent a critical moment of truth. So what we do is strategically manage categories and ensure the right brand architecture and pricing. HOW WE DO IT Category Management Must Stand for Something Important We help manufacturers and retailers allocate the right strategic mix of resources and lead your team to push for success in the right direction. Our approach includes: customer segmentation, category strategy and tactics, role of the category (dominant, competitive, convenient), space and marketing investment, inventory strategy, and scorecard development. Retail Branding Needs a Customer Driven Strategy National brands are key but achieving profits and a competitive advantage can come from a private label or licensed brand. We work with retailers and manufacturers to deliver clear, customer driven brand matrices that maximize margins through brand mix. Leverage industry best practices to add significant sales and profit to your business while you differentiate from competitors and create a delightful and inspiring experience for your customers. Assortment Planning We help retailers and manufacturers leverage proven best practices to plan and manage assortments to drive ROI. Customer decision tree analysis, SKU productivity analysis, good/better/best assortment planning, price point management, intelligent plan o gram changeovers, omni channel considerations, and line review planning make your assortments work harder for you and your customers. Pricing Strategy We help retailers and manufacturers develop strategic pricing to meet often conflicting goals of competitive prices and solid margins. Using industry best practices, we benchmark, analyze, and deliver proven pricing strategies, tactics, and policies, along with the right merchandising and marketing strategy to tell your customers you are competitive while remaining profitable.
Procurement and Sourcing WHAT WE DO How companies buy products or services from suppliers significantly affects sales and profitability. If you pay too much (more than your competitors) or don t buy from the right global suppliers the right way with the right quality, how can you deliver on customer value? How do you buy from suppliers around the globe and sleep at night knowing opportunities are maximized while risks are managed? If your competitors find a better way to buy versus your firm, you won t be able to match their pricing and will lose market share quickly. HOW WE DO IT Procurement The process and act of how you buy is just as important as what you buy. We use proven best practices to help clients develop a procurement strategy along with the tactics, policies, and execution required to save you cost while delivering what you need, when you need it. We mix the art and science of this discipline to drive cost out of your business while managing risk. We use procurement strategy, process review and enhancement, RFI, RFQ, negotiation, documentation and contract management, vendor management, and more. Global Sourcing Sourcing from a supplier on the other side of the world can be risky without the right guidance. We have deep expertise in this area to enable clients to successfully lower cost and drive innovation while managing risk. Includes: Global sourcing strategy development, process, planning, metric development, total cost of ownership (TCO), trip best practices, execution, and more. Quality Management We use our proven approach to assess current state, create gap analysis, make detailed, practical recommendations, and help execute a plan tailored to you and your industry to lower cost of poor quality while protecting your customer relationships. Vendor Management Vendors or suppliers play a major role in your success. Our proprietary approach includes strategic vendor continuum development, vendor scorecard, vendor support optimization, vendor targets, communication, joint business planning, policy and procedure development, and more.
Supply Chain WHAT WE DO Getting your product when you need it, where you need it, and how you need it is a big challenge in itself especially with the emergence of omni channel. Successful supply chain management is one of the most important pillars supporting customer value and has one of the biggest positive or negative impacts to your top and bottom line. Moving product back in reverse for returns or defects, although lacking in glamour, can have a huge impact on your P & L. Managing excess or distressed inventory quickly and efficiently at the best recovery cost is instrumental in keeping your offerings fresh and frees up working capital. When things go very wrong and you find yourself in a recall situation, having a guide to help you navigate through unfamiliar waters saves you money and time and minimizes distraction from your core business of selling to your customers. HOW WE DO IT Supply Chain We enable you to leverage supply chain best practices to lower inventory levels, improve service levels, and increase GMROI. Our approach Includes current state assessment and review, gap analysis, process enhancement, metrics analysis, vendor management, policy, implementation, and execution. Reverse Logistics Reduce costs and streamline operations through leverage of reverse logistics best practices. Includes: current reverse process review, opportunities analysis, return and defect rate analysis, vendor recovery analysis, policy analysis, and improvement opportunities. Excess/Distressed Inventory Guidance and Assistance We offer proprietary options review and analysis, industry contacts, negotiation support, execution assistance, and ongoing excess and distressed management framework from experts with decades of experience. Product Recall Guidance We help you navigate through product recalls using proven best practices by experts who have hands on experience in this delicate issue. Our approach Includes: getting the facts and proactive management of the situation, stakeholder analysis, task force guidance, root cause analysis, recovery maximization, cost avoidance, and process enhancements to minimize recurrence.
