TUITION AND FEES UT Dallas offers a Guaranteed Tuition Rate Plan, which promises to lock the tuition rate and mandatory fees for a four-year period beginning with registration. utdallas.edu/tuition Payment plans for tuition and short-term loans are available through the UT Dallas Bursar s Office. utdallas.edu/bursar SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID Several scholarships for graduate students are offered. In addition, U.S. citizens may apply for financial aid through the UT Dallas Financial Aid Office. utdallas.edu/student/finaid RESEARCH UT Dallas has fostered a strong tradition of academic excellence since its inception and emphasizes interdisciplinary research. The University encourages graduate students to participate in research, and there are a wide variety of opportunities available, ranging from the causes and treatment of communication disorders, implanting electronic devices in the body and new ways of studying quantum physics. utdallas.edu/admissions/graduate/research TEACHING AND RESEARCH ASSISTANTSHIPS Teaching assistantships, in which graduate students aid in the teaching of courses, and research assistantships, in which graduate students assist with library searches, field work, laboratory experiments and the preparation of reports, are available in many of the graduate programs. utdallas.edu/admissions/graduate/financial Outstanding students planning to pursue the degree are invited to apply for a Founders Distinguished Graduate Fellowship at UT Dallas. This program prepares participants for leadership in research organizations, universities, and industry. Fellows pursue their education and research while gaining experience as principal investigators of research projects and mentors of junior colleagues. CAREER CENTER The Career Center offers a variety of services for students at all stages of their job search process. Licensed professional career counselors provide career assessments and mock-interview training. A full-time resume editor helps prepare resumes and cover letters, business communications and personal statements. The Career Center also has career workshops and an online job-search database, and helps students find internships for the summer or the school year. Each year, more than 1,200 different employers hire UT Dallas undergraduate and graduate students as interns. 84 percent of UT Dallas graduates are either employed or continuing their education shortly after graduation. utdallas.edu/career THE CAREER NAGEMENT CENTER (CMC) The Career Management Center (CMC) prepares degree-seeking students in the Naveen Jindal School of Management for significant and fulfilling business careers.
