ourpeople Fieldworks The fieldworks department is led by Operations Director, Chay Rogers who has developed the fieldworks services to suit a variety of clients and projects. With many years experience in the plant and tool hire industry and having been responsible for setting up RGS initially as a sole trader, Chay can offer excellent and detailed advice as to the practical requirements of your site and provide you with a professional factual presentation of your results. If you require a more in depth interpretation, this will be dealt with by our highly experienced engineering department... Engineering The engineering section is headed by Technical Director, Steve Rogers CEng, CGeol, MICE, MIHT, FGS. Drawing on a wealth of knowledge and skills gained in the geotechnical industry he is able to provide you with an expert and in depth engineering service and fully interpretive analysis of your results if required. With over thirty years of geotechnical experience, including seven years as a senior University Lecturer in Soil Mechanics and Highway Engineering and more recently as Chief Geotechnical Engineer for a major piling contractor, Steve heads a specialised engineering department which ensures the excellence of our services. The geotechnical and materials laboratory is an integral part of RGS, with the capacity to undertake a continually developing range of testing. Geotechnical testing is undertaken in accordance with BS 1377 1990 METHODS OF TESTS FOR SOILS FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING PURPOSES. The laboratory is able to provide contamination testing of samples, which is undertaken by a sub-contracted external laboratory. We have a great deal to offer, having a broad range of expertise and capability, which in turn delivers exceptionally high levels of customer satisfaction.
