3 Section 1 1. 1 S A F A R I B R O W S E R Safari Browser is pre-installed on Macs running OS X and does not require the installation of a Citrix Client. However, with recent changes, a newer version of Java may need to be installed for Tenet Portal to function properly. If the steps below do not work, navigate to Section 1.2 Manually Install Java. Supported Mac Operating Systems: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), 10.5 (Leopard), 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion), or 10.8 (Mountain Lion) 1. Java older than version 7 update 11 will mostlikely prompt with similar dialog boxes like below when logged into the Tenet Portal and selecting a Citrix application to launch. Older versions in most cases will function properly; however, updating may be necessary in order to launch Citrix Published Applications. Example: Powerchart Proceed to Step 2 Proceed to Section 1.4 Enable Java 2. Follow the steps illustrated below, then proceed to Step 3 to complete the Java update.
4 3. Select, Agree and Start Free Download in order to download and install the lastest version of Java. If not prompted, proceed to Section 1.2 Manually Install Java. 4. If the following image appears, click in the box to enable Always trust content, then select, Run
5 5. Select, Downloads, then select, jre-...dmg. Close Safari and navigate to the desktop. 6. Navigate to Desktop and double click to install and follow the installation prompts. 7. Launch https://citrix.etenet.com via Safari and login with Tenet credentials to access the desired Citrix application. Section 1.3 Configure Java may be necessary to prevent issues later.
6 1.2 M A N U A L L Y I N S T A L L JAVA Launch, http://www.java.com via Safari. The site determines what Operating System and correct version of Java to install. Follow the prompts. After the installation a reboot may be required. Launch Safari again and navigate to https://citrix.etenet.com site and launch the desired Citrix application. 7 2. Once Java Control Panel launches select, General, Settings, Delete Files, Ok, then remove the checkmark from, Keep temportary files on my computer and select, Ok, Ok. Now close the Java Dialog box and try launching desired Citrix application via Safari (https://citrix.etenet.com) site.

9 2. Once Java Control Panel launches select, Java tab, User, and place a check mark next to the lastest version of Java if more than one version is listed. Section 1.3 Configure Java may be necessary to prevent issues later.
10 Appendix Q U E S T I O N S & A N S W E R S Q: Is Safari the only Internet browser used to launch Citrix Applications on a Mac? A: Yes, Safari is the only Internet Browser we support for launching Citrix Applications. Q: Do I need to install a Citrix Client on my Mac in order to launch Citrix Applications? A: No, Safari has a built in plugin that allows Citrix Applications to launch properly; however, with recent Mac & Java updates you may need to update to a more recent version of Java (See Section 1.2 Manually Install Java). Q: Can I launch Citrix Applications with any Mac OS X version? A: Currently Mac OS X versions listed below are supported and will launch Citrix Applications published on https://citrix.etenet.com site. Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), 10.5 (Leopard), 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion), or 10.8 (Mountain Lion) Q: What do I do if I see the following dialog box? 11 Q: What do I do if I see the following dialog box? A: Navigate to Section 1.4 Enable Java Q: What do I do if I see the following dialog box? A: If the dialog box is exactly the same as above, verify there is a checkmark in place and then click, Allow Q: What do I do if I see the following appear and why did this happen? A: The screenshot like above appears when double clicking or pressing Enter twice in a field designed for a single click. The easiest way to resolve this issue is closing Safari completely. Select, Safari at the top, then on the drop-down select, Quit Safari. Relaunch Safari and goto https://citrix.etenet.com site and try again.
