Aged Care Aged Care courses will help you find employment in one of Australia s fastest growing industries. Aged care certificates focus on employment in residential care. Home and Community Care (HACC) certificates focus on employment in community or home care. AGED CARE CHC30212 AGED CARE CHC40108 Community SERVICES COORDINATION CHC52212 Certificate III in Aged Care (CHC30212) The Certificate III in Aged Care is a widely accepted minimum qualification that gives you the foundational skills and knowledge to work in a residential aged care facility. No prior qualification or experience is necessary. Certificate IV in Aged Care (CHC40108) The Certificate IV in Aged Care is for people who already have employment or experience in Aged Care and wish to expand their knowledge and abilities for supervisory or management roles. To enrol you must already be competent in several core units from the Certificate III in Aged Care. Community Services Coordination (CHC52212) The Community Services Coordination is ideal for people working in a community service-based organisation who are seeking to advance to a higher career position within this sector. It is geared at supervisors and team leaders across all areas of community services: from aged care, mental health, youth work, disability services, to employment services, and alcohol and drug treatment services. Home & Community Care If you have compassion for people who are sick, elderly or disabled and are interested in helping them maintain their independence outside of residential care, the Certificate III in Home and Community Care allows you to do this. You will work under supervision, assisting people in home and community settings maintain their own personal care and daily routines according to service plans and within organisational guidelines. Home and Community Care workers are in high demand due to Australia s ageing population and with increased funding for service to those with a disability. This role requires people to empathise with, respect and physically assist clients who require ongoing support.
