New Business Now online access Steps for Gold Key advisors To take advantage of this exciting new way of doing business, we want to ensure you have the access you need. Following the steps outlined here means getting access to the web application, preferences and notifications on New Business Now, and to view your in-force business in Client portfolio. Steps for Gold Key advisors Completing these steps will allow advisors and associate advisors (who use their own commission code) to obtain, update and modify your preferences in New Business Now. If you have already performed some of these steps, begin with the step that suits your situation. 1. Register for Your Key Connection 2. Activate access to Client portfolio 3. Delegate access to your book of business through Client portfolio 4. Set notification preferences for New Business Now before or after New Business Now goes live 5. Set advisor settings after go-live 6. Start using New Business Now Great-West Life and the key design are trademarks of The Great-West Life Assurance Company.

1. Register for Your Key Connection a. If you have never logged into Great-West Life s advisor website, go to the sign-in page at https://ykc.greatwestlife.com/apps/iiipadvisorportalwar/ or through www.greatwestlife.com under Financial security advisors > Your Key Connection. Click Register. Agree to registration terms and conditions that appear on your screen, and then create a Your Key Connection profile by entering your network user ID and password. If you have forgotten your network ID or password, contact the Great-West Life Service Desk at 1-800-665-0300 to reset it. b. If you have accessed Your Key Connection before and have previously completed the security information (e.g., email address, security question) in your profile, but have forgotten your Your Key Connection user ID and/or password, use the links on this sign-in page. 2

2. After logging into Your Key Connection, activate access to Client portfolio. Client portfolio provides access to your in-force business. After go-live, pending submitted application inquiries become available in New Business Now. Under the Client information tab, go to Client portfolio access activate. On this page, enter your Great-West Life mainframe user ID and password. If you don t recall your mainframe user ID, contact the Great-West Life Service Desk at 1-800-665-0300. 3

3. Delegate access to your book of business to your team. For your operations team members, and any associate advisors who work under your commission code, to properly access New Business Now, they require access to your book of business. You require your associate advisor s and operations team member s Your Key Connection user ID. If he or she doesn t have a personal user ID, contact your business services manager, who will submit paperwork to Great-West Life head office. Please indicate you require your team to have delegate access. If your team member has a user ID for Your Key Connection, go to Client Information > Client portfolio access Grant to others, and enter the operations team member s user ID and press Enter or select Get details. 4

a. Verify you have identified the correct individual, then select Delegate (or if the individual is incorrect, select Cancel). Please note, delegate status is processed overnight, so access will be available the day after set-up. 5

b. Whenever appropriate, Remove Client portfolio and New Business Now delegation: Important: Notify your business services manager, Gold Key Advisor Practices, when an individual should no longer have a user ID for access to Great-West Life systems and your book of business. 6

4. How to set your notification preferences for New Business Now Prior to when New Business Now goes live, sign in to complete this form, using your user ID and password for Your Key Connection. You must be logged in under your user ID for your preferences to be saved in New Business Now. If staff log in to Your Key Connection under his or her unique user name to complete your preferences, your information will not be saved. Set your notification preferences, following the instructions on the page (see next page for sample). o o o Enter your email information and notification preferences. Enter email information and notification preferences for others you also want to get updates. This information will automatically be saved in New Business Now software you ll see it the first time you log in under Preferences > Notifications. 7

After New Business Now goes live, if you did not complete the notification preferences form, set your notifications within New Business Now. Congratulations! You now have access to notifications for an optimal experience using New Business Now. Whether you use paper, teleapp or web applications or all three receive timely email status updates on your tablet, mobile phone or computer. It s a better way to do new insurance business. 10

Important note Your user ID is considered your signature in New Business Now, as shown in the screens below, so it s important business is submitted under the writing advisor s user ID or licensed operations team member. It s imperative each advisor, associate and staff member accesses the software using his or her own, unique user ID and password for Your Key Connection. 11

The servicing advisor, or licensed staff member who has delegate access, should obtain all client authorizations, complete the insurability questions in the presence of the client and submit the application. Whether completing paper or web applications, it s essential only the appropriate person is engaged in tasks deemed as sales activities and is providing his/her own electronic and/or paper signature. 12

New Business Now online access Steps for operations team members and associate advisors Completing these steps will allow you to access the advisor s book of business, including pending policies on New Business Now. If you are an associate advisor who does not use your own commission code, please follow these steps. If you have already performed some of these steps, begin with the step that suits your situation. 1. Register for Your Key Connection 2. Provide your Your Key Connection to your advisor to delegate access 3. Activate access to Client portfolio 4. Begin using New Business Now 13

1. Register for Your Key Connection Everyone at your firm requires his or her own unique user ID for Your Key Connection to properly use and access New Business Now. If you do not have your own unique user ID, please contact your business services manager, Gold Key Advisor Practices. Also mention you require delegate authorization. He or she will submit paperwork for you to have a unique network and mainframe user IDs. Once you receive your personal network user ID and password from your business services manager, go to the signin page at https://ykc.greatwestlife.com/apps/iiipadvisorportalwar/ or through www.greatwestlife.com under Financial security advisors > Your Key Connection. Click Register. a. Agree to registration terms and conditions that appear on your screen, and then create a Your Key Connection profile by entering your network user ID and password. If you have forgotten your network password, contact the Great-West Life Service Desk at 1-800-665-0300 to reset it. b. If you have accessed Your Key Connection before and have previously completed the security information (e.g., email address, security question) in your profile, but have forgotten your Your Key Connection user ID and/or password, use the links on this sign-in page. 14

2. Provide your Your Key Connection user ID to your advisor to complete step 3 on page 4 of this document to grant you access to the book of business. Once you ve been granted access (it s an overnight process), activate Client portfolio. 3. Activate access to Client portfolio Client portfolio provides access to in-force business. After go-live, pending submitted application inquiries become available in New Business Now. Under the Client information tab, go to Client portfolio access activate. On this page, enter your Great-West Life mainframe user ID and password (that you receive from your business services manager).
