GoDial for Vertical Wave Installation & User Manual The Wave GoDial application, available on Vertical AppMarket, supports select&dial and click-to-dial functionality for Vertical Wave 2.5 and higher. The GoDial and GoDialDemo applications are developed by Gosub Software.
Installation Prerequisites for the GoDial application are: MS Windows XP SP3 / Windows 7..NET Framework version 3.5 or higher. Wave ViewPoint 2.5 or higher installed. Local administrator privileges are needed to run the file SetupGoDial.msi:
The installer window will help you install the GoDial application. When you have finished the setup wizard you should find a shortcut to GoDial in the Windows Programs Menu folder Gosub Software :
License Installation If you are a Wave system administrator you have to install the license key on your Wave server, before users can start the GoDial application and logon. You can install the license key via a special tool that was installed automatically with GoDial. You can find the tool in the GoDial install path. The tool is named GoDial_license.exe. Start GoDial_license.exe to import the key onto your Wave system. You need administrator credentials and the GoDial license key to do this: After you entered all account and key information, click Install License. You should get a message when the license key is succesfully installed. License activation can still be done via the Administrator webportal, use the menu item Software Licenses for this. Application Start When you run the GoDial application you will see the logon form below. Please enter your Wave ViewPoint account credentials here. The account information will be saved for the next time you logon. If you do not know the stationid of your phone, dial *00 to find out:
Settings Find the blue phone icon in the system and double click it to set the options. If you have setup GoDialDemo, these settings are preserverd and active: To activate the select&dial and click-to-dial functionality, enable these options and set your Location settings, Number Format and Dialing Rules (if applicable). Refer to the sample settings below:
Select&Dial After completing the settings click Ok and you start using the select&dial and click-to-dial functionality. To select&dial a number, select (highlight) a number in your webbowser/crm application/word or for instance this manual: (408) 404-160 and use the configured shortcut. Your phone should start to ring and when you answer it, the number should be dialed by GoDial on Wave. You can monitor the call in Wave ViewPoint:
Click-to-Dial You can tag or link a number in a webpage with a callto command. Just like mailto:support@gosub.nl will start your standard Windows email application, callto:408404160 can start a standard phone client. When you enable callto and tel dialing you let Windows use the GoDial application whenever a callto tagged or tel tagged number is clicked. Using this functionality for the first time, you may get a Windows message to confirm you want to run the file CallShortcut.vbs. This file is installed with GoDial, so you can let Windows run the script file. You can also test callto and tel dialing using the file click-to-dial.html, provided with this manual.
