4 Keyllink CTI Client Installation Guide 1. Introduction The Keylink CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) client software runs on a Windows machine on the same LAN as the IP PBX and the Keylink CTI server. Key functionality offered by the Keylink package includes: Click-to-dial from Outlook Presence status of other users Instant messaging chat with other users. The server-based package may be Integration with existing third-party CRM applications. The installation and operation is outlined in a Video Training module at 2. Minimum requirements 2.1 Telephone system The IP PBX must be equipped with a CSTA port licence. 2.2 CTI server Pentium 4 processor 1 GB internal memory, 80 GB harddrive Netwerk adaptor USB slot (for licence dongle) Operating System: MS Windows Server 2003, Server 2008, XP Professional, Vista Business Edition or 7 Professional (a server license is preferred) 2.3 Client PC Window based PC - Operating System: Windows XP, SP3 or higher 3. Activate the CSTA license on the IP PBX To activate the CSTA license on the control unit, log in to the system browser programming as an installer and paste in the licence at System Licences. The CSTA function is then visible in the list of functions on the System Properties page. 4

5 Keylink CTI Client Installation Guide 4. Install the CTI server software The Keylink CTI server application must be installed on a server on the company LAN. Insert the dongle with the software key in the server USB port. Insert and run the CD with the server firmware. Accept the terms. Select CSTA as the Set-up type. Follow the instructions on the Installation Wizard and enter the IP address of the IP PBX. 5. Install the CTI client application Insert the Keylink CD. Open folder to view the files. 5

7 Keylink CTI Client Installation Guide Select Keylink CTI Client. And Allow access to your computer. Click on the Set-up link to access the Wizard. 7

8 Keyllink CTI Client Installation Guide Cllick Next. Accept the terms in the licence agreement and click next. 8

9 Keylink CTI Client Installation Guide Either click on the Change button to select an alternative location for the program, or Next to proceed with the installation. 9

11 Keylink CTI Client Installation Guide Enter the url or IP address of the Keylink CTI server, select the Sortcuts and then click Finish. 11

13 Keylink CTI Client Installation Guide 6. Assign a PBX User to the CTI application Run the Keylink CTI program by clicking on the icon in the All Programs list in the Windows Start menu. A listing of all PBX users on the PBX that s coupled to the CTI server is displayed. Enter the first characters of the User s name in the Search box and click on the user. 13

14 Keyllink CTI Client Installation Guide Any settings already programmed at the CTI Server installation are loaded. A screen similar to the following is displayed. The user s extension phone is coupled with the CTI application on the PC. 14

Adding and Configuring User Tiles Click on the Tiles button on the Keylink CTI Client to view Existing Tiles and to add New tiles by clicking on the + buttions of the associated feature (e.g. Presence, Chat or Call Button) in the lower part of the screen below. To configure the User tiles, click on the spanner symbol adjacent to the appropriate tile (e.g. Presence, Chat or Call button in the example above) Existing tiles listing. 15
