FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND COMMERCE Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management Program Mission Intake 2014-2018 The mission of the Human Resource Management Program in Hoa Sen University s Faculty of Economics and Commerce is to prepare students with theoretical and practical backgrounds so that they can develop and use valid and reliable human resource management instruments and practices. Students are equipped to make decisions that are fair, ethical and compliant with employment regulations, while serving the organization and stakeholders. Program Learning Outcomes Students graduating from our program will be able to: 1. Demonstrate effective impression management skills including resume writing skills, verbal communication skills, effective interviewing skills, and business etiquette. 2. Identify issues involved with acquiring human resources including job analysis, HR planning, labor laws, recruitment and selection. 3. Identify issues related to developing, evaluating, and rewarding human resources via training, performance management, and compensation systems. 4. Recommend preferred methods of selection based on organizational needs and environmental conditions. 5. Distinguish ways in which employees assess the fairness of a compensation structure. 6. Identify internal and external variables involved in establishing compensation systems. 7. Describe how to measure employee behaviors and performance. 8. Identify criteria for determining the effectiveness of performance measures. 1
Requirements for Graduation Students must also satisfy the following requirements: Careers Not facing prosecution 142 credits 2.0 GPA National Defense Certificate and a Physical Education Certificate TOEIC 550 or equivalent in validity The Human Resources Management program prepares students for opportunities and growth throughout their career. Most Human Resource jobs require exceptional people skills. The ability to communicate well (both speaking and listening) and to get along with all kinds of people (from the CEO to the temporary office staff) is key. An eye for detail and the ability to make decisions is also necessary.
