Williams College Student s manual for E-Learning Introduction - In this guide you will be introduced to the basics of participating in an online course. It will take you step-by-step through entering the E-Learning environment & working within E-Learning. - >>What is E-Learning? >>How do I access my E-Learning? Go to: http://www.williamscollege.co.uk Select the E-Learning icon from the site, E-Learning/Login 3
It takes you to; E-Learning front page. Or else you can directly go to; http://elearning.williamscollege.co.uk Type your Student ID issued by Williams College into your Username and Password is student by default for your first login, 4
Once you logged in, it asks you to change your password Before setting up your new password type your old password and then type a new password as you wanted and click save changes. 5
Once you click save password, you will be asked to continue your password change, click continue And you will be able to see your profile page 6
Click home to go back to your Home page on top of your left hand side. Home Page 7
In any case you need to change your profile settings, then go back to your Home Page and select My Profile Setting Click Edit Settings from your my profile settings 8
You will be eligible to Edit only the red column as shown below Once adding the required information that you want other users to see from your profile page then click on the update Profile icon it takes you to the profile page with your updated information. 9
>>Instant Messaging To have a chat with your friends, teachers, or other users go to home page and top of your right hand side click My Profile under the navigation block and Messaging 10
Once you click messages, the page will pop up where you can see if is there any new contact request from your friends or teachers or other users. Right now u have no contacts added into your contact list. When you receive a new contact request it will pop up with the message window and you can view this request, when you are logged into your user account. 11
It shows the user name that has sent a contact request or message. To view the message click Go to messages 12
It shows you have 1 unread message. Click on the user name to see the message that he/she sent. When you click the username you find chat box where you can find the user message that he/she sent to you. And it shows the link between the user s that you are having a chat with, 13
>>My Courses To enter any of your modules you need to go My Courses from your home page on to the right hand side you will find My Courses click it 14
Once you click my courses you will find all your modules that you are currently studying and have been enrolled. Click the modules, you will find the files uploaded by your teachers, daily class notes, assignments, quizzes, etc. As per your class schedule you will be able to get your handouts uploaded by your tutors on daily basis. 15
When you want to open any files or documents just click the name of that particular file. Once you click, you will get 16
Click the doc. shown below It asks you to save the file on to your desktop or opens with PDF 17
>>How to upload your assignments: From your Homepage > My Courses > Strategic Business and IT Management > select the assignments according to the date wise provided by your tutors, from your weekly format e.g. 7 September-13 September. Now from your Topic format page you can select the assignments that your tutors have uploaded e.g. 18
Click on the assignment submission form When you click submission you will be asked to upload your assignments It asks you to choose the file from your directory [maximum size is 1MB] 19
Click choose file and select your documents from your directory 20
Click save changes once you have selected the file. 21
