TREATMENT PROTOCOLS MANUAL Slim Light 6.9 Multi-functional aesthetic equipment The successful method for fighting against cellulite and localized adiposities, I dait pubblicati sono di proprieta di SHARP & BOTANICA S.r.l. E vietata ogni riproduzione anche parziale dei dati pubblicati 0

4 OBJECTIVES OF BODY TREATMENT WITH SLIM LIGHT 6.9 OBJECTIVE 1. Treating Cellulite STEP 1. Depolymerize The mucopolysaccharides to release water STEP 2. Lipolyse The triglycerides from adipocytes STEP 3. Drain The exudations resulting from the two former actions STEP 4. Defibrose The tissues to restore their elasticity STEP 5 Firm Up The skin to improve its tone Classifying Cellulite ( WATER+ FAT+VASCULAR FACTORS) Compact cellulite 1 st stage Between the skin and the muscle fascia there are cells that form the so-called adipose tissue that is crossed by numerous blood vessels. An alteration in the permeability of the capillaries leads to a loss of the watery part of the blood, known as serum, with a consequent build-up and accumulation in the interstitial tissue located between the adipose cells. If the process is not stopped, this seepage of water into the interstitial tissue leads to a separation and disassociation of the adipose cells with a consequent break-up of the cells themselves and the formation of gaps. Oedematous cellulite 2 nd stage (alteration of the adipose cell). Under normal conditions, each I dait pubblicati sono di proprieta di SHARP & BOTANICA S.r.l. E vietata ogni riproduzione anche parziale dei dati pubblicati 1

adipose cell is wrapped by a network of very fine reticular fibres. A repetition and duration of the oedema phenomenon leads to a defensive reaction by the fibres themselves that react by increasing in number (hyperplasia) and in thickness (hypertrophy). All this results in an alteration to the normal (lobe) structure of the adipose tissue and a dilation of the micro vessels. The circulation of the blood is compromised and if this phenomenon continues for a long period, the adipose tissue hardens (see sclerosis) and, in other words, becomes harder and more painful. Soft cellulite 3 rd and 4 th stages (formation of micro nodules). With the passing of time, the reticular fibres become collagen fibres; the latter tend to encapsulate the degenerated adipose cells with the formation of true micro nodules, that is of rounded structures of microscopic dimensions. 4 th stage (formation of macro nodules). When several micro nodules combine together, they give rise to the formation of a macro nodule, which is evident to the touch and painful when pressed. When talking of cellulite, it is always thought that only women are affected; however, there is a symptom similar to cellulite that affects men, although to a lesser extent and it is known as male cellulite. There are basically two differences between the female and the male phenomenon: the origin and the location of the pockets of fat deposits. Male cellulite is caused by a tendency to retain liquids in the tissues: therefore, it is a problem of constitution. For men the problem is characterized by rolls of fat in the area from the waist upwards: arms, back, stomach, but above all, the waist. In women on the other hand, cellulite is seen on the outside of the thighs, under the buttocks and on the inside of the knee. I dait pubblicati sono di proprieta di SHARP & BOTANICA S.r.l. OBJECTIVE 2. Sagging Tissue STEP 1 : Two Basic concept need to be kept in mind - Cutaneous tension of the skin - Flexibility of the skin - These two factors determine the elasticity and its capacity to adapt itself to anatomical controls as a function on movement STEP 2: Physiologic Balance - The fibroblasts of the dermis synthesize 2 essential proteins that create the fibres that organize the dense networks -The collagen function is to support the tension forces within the skin -The elastine contained in the elastic fibres can shrink or stretch in order to create and control cutaneous flexibility - Problems, stemming from either a lack of the 2 proteins or poor quality in the 2 proteins, will result in sqgging of the cutaneous tissue. STEP 3 Diagnostic Depressology Global Diagnostic: Observation of the anatomic segments While lying both on the front and back -While erect (standing), and while moving Analytic Diagnostic: Hand palpations on the cutaneous segments Put tension on the skin, and when released observe the movement of the tissue as it returns to its original form Qualitative study of the tissue and evaluation of its flabbiness Listening to the requests of the patient I dait pubblicati sono di proprieta di SHARP & BOTANICA S.r.l. E vietata ogni riproduzione anche parziale dei dati pubblicati 3

STEP 4 Therapeutic Objectives 4.1. Improve the trophicity of the cutaneous tissue by stimulating local metabolic exchanges 4.2. To act on the bio-mechanical properties of the collagen and elastine fibres to firm up the skin with two results; a. Improved cutaneous tension b. Improved cutaneous flexibility 4.3. To maintain an optimal capacity of skin stretching and retraction possibilities obtained through a veritable cutaneous gymnastic I dait pubblicati sono di proprieta di SHARP & BOTANICA S.r.l. OBJECTIVE 3: HEAVY LEGS STEP 1: Anatomic and Physiologic Reminder Blood Return Circulation : 2 Systems -Lymphatic System -Venous System Venous System : 2 Networks -Superficial Venous Network -Plantar Venous Network -External Saphen Vein -Internal Saphen Vein -Deep Venous Network -Satellite arteries and veins (ex. Anterior tibial vein) -Common Linking Point: Thigh Ring (At the Scarpa level) which becomes the external iliac vein STEP 2: Diagnostic Procedures 1. Find the oedema areas With the tissue impression test to determine the origin of the oedemas (venous or lymphatic) 2. Palpation of the saphen areas From the bottom to the top 3. Pay attention to the specific signs of vascular fragility - Varicous veins - Spider veins - Erythroses (irritated) I dait pubblicati sono di proprieta di SHARP & BOTANICA S.r.l. E vietata ogni riproduzione anche parziale dei dati pubblicati 5

STEP 3 : Therapeutic Objective 1. Strengthen the venous structures 2. Work on the 2 extreme areas of the network -Proximal area (inguinal) -Distal area (plantar) 3. Stimulate the venous flow on the 2 main venous blood flow channels -Internal Saphen vein -External Saphen vein 4. Improve the blood circulation of the supporting veins towards the main network blood flow I dait pubblicati sono di proprieta di SHARP & BOTANICA S.r.l. E vietata ogni riproduzione anche parziale dei dati pubblicati 6

OBJECTIVE 4 : EMERGETIC RE-BALANCE Therapeutic Objective 1. Remove muscular tensions to obtain an overall good relaxation over the whole body 2. Stimulate the cutaneous receptors of the sympathetic system: -free nerve terminals -free mecanoreceptors terminals to improve cutaneous sensitivity 3. Remove all reflex stases 4. Regulate the cutaneous micro circulation network with a view to restaure the vasoconstriction and vasodilatation balance I dait pubblicati sono di proprieta di SHARP & BOTANICA S.r.l.
