Lecturers and students can access the Adobe Connect Room as normal. KNOWN ISSUES IN ADOBE CONNECT 9.4 Known Issue: Adobe Connect Meeting URL issue for Apple ipad/iphone/ios APP Users Description: ios 8 (or below) users can join Adobe Connect meetings by clicking the Join Meeting button or by copy/pasting the meeting URL in the Adobe Connect ios App. When an Apple ios user try to join a meeting by copy/pasting the meeting URL, users are unable to join the session. Cause: The HTTPS port number :443 appears in the meeting link. The current ios Adobe Connect App will not recognise the meeting room with the port number. Workarounds include: Re-entering the Meeting URL to Adobe Connect App :443 from the URL link. i.e. the revised meeting link for an ios user: https://livelearning.anu.edu.au/4icifqvba6/ HTTPS Port Number 443 issue Resolution: Remove :443 (port number) from the URL link provided and access the meeting for Apple ipad users: REVISED Meeting URL https://livelearning-test.anu.edu.au/4icifqvba6/ Note: This issue does not affect users on Google Android platforms for tablets or smartphones WATTLE Page 25
Known Issue: Adobe Connect App incompatibility issue with ios 9 Operating System Devices Description: Any ios users (Apple ipad & iphone) who upgrade their devices to Apple mobile operating system ios 9 using the Adobe Connect mobile app will be unable to access or launch into the meeting room in the Adobe Connect app, the session will instead be launched into Apple s Safari Web Browser. Cause: Adobe Connect is not compatible with Apple s ios 9 operating system. Workaround Solution: ios 9 users are able to copy the Meeting URL link and paste the link directly into the open Adobe Connect App Resolution: Adobe have announced this issue will be resolved in Adobe Connect version 9.5 and they will release a patch for version 9.4.2. ios 9 users will also need to update their Adobe Connect Mobile App to the latest version. Adobe Connect 9.4 Loss of Support Adobe Connect 9.4 version will no longer support users on the following systems: Microsoft Windows OS Windows XP Windows Vista Apple Mac OS Mac OS X 10.5 or lower Mac OS X 10.6 Adobe Connect users currently on these legacy systems will be required to upgrade to a machine with the specified minimum requirements to ensure access and quality of service in Adobe Connect 9.4 version.
