It will give you the core skills you will need for being able to prepare for nail art treatment, preparing and consulting with the client, carry out a nail and skin analysis, select products, tools and equipment, identify nail conditions, carry out the treatment safely and effectively and record the treatment carried out, and be able to follow health and safety working practices. The award is ideal for preparing for employment in this area. Unless you have higher work experience or other qualifications in beauty therapy we would recommend that you complete a level 2 award in health and safety too. You can progress to the level 2 certificates and diplomas and develop the breadth of your professional skills and the range of beauty treatments you can perform. It will provide you with some of the theory and basic practical skills. It is designed to inspire you to want to learn more about the subject and provide you with a basis for undertaking a skills course at Level 1 or higher. There is no formal assessment for this course but your progress will be monitored throughout the course. You can progress in a range of ways.
