Manufacturing defects contractual warranty What you should do to benefit fully from this contractual warranty Present your vehicle s up-to-date "Warranty and Maintenance Record", including the warranty certificate in particular, duly completed by the dealership which sold the vehicle. Have the vehicle maintained and serviced in strict conformity with PEUGEOT s instructions (and within a tolerance of 30 days or 1,500 miles for routine services) and be able to provide proof of this (maintenance records, invoices, etc.). On detection of a defect, your vehicle should be taken for repair to a PEUGEOT authorised repairer during normal opening hours. The aim of this measure is to maintain your safety and that of your passengers, as well as preventing the defect experienced becoming worse, which could lead to the need for more extensive repairs than were originally required. Consequently, the manufacturing defects contractual warranty does not cover a defect and its consequences where you have not taken action as soon as the said defect was detected. You must also accept any invitation from an authorised repairer of the marque to have your vehicle repaired immediately. Non-compliance with these rules would render you responsible for any consequence, direct or indirect, that might arise concerning the correct operation of your vehicle. You would lose the benefit of this contractual warranty in the following cases: 6 if modifications or adaptations have been carried out on your vehicle which are neither provided for nor authorised by PEUGEOT or which have been carried out without complying with the technical instructions defined by the latter, the defect is due to negligence on the part of the user or failure to observe instructions shown in the handbook or maintenance guide, if your vehicle has been used in abnormal circumstances or in competition or if it has been overloaded, even for a short time, if your vehicle s odometer has been modified or its actual mileage cannot be established with certainty. (If the odometer is replaced, the "odometer replacement form" in the "Warranty and Maintenance Record" must be completed by an authorised repairer of the PEUGEOT marque). 15A_CPE_0030_Anglais_UK.indd 6 14/11/2014 14:13:48

Anti-perforation contractual warranty PEUGEOT guarantees your vehicle against perforation (corrosion from the inside towards the outside of the bodywork) from the date of delivery shown on the "Certificate of warranty" in the "Warranty and Maintenance Record" for a duration of: - 12 years in the case of a passenger vehicle, - 5 years in the case of a commercial vehicle. What the anti-perforation contractual warranty covers The anti-perforation contractual warranty covers the repair or replacement of components acknowledged to be faulty by PEUGEOT or its representative, on which a perforation due to corrosion appears. This Warranty is applicable subject to the express condition that the vehicle has at all times been repaired in strict accordance with the manufacturer s standards and that the customer has had carried out in good time: 1) routine servicing referred to in the "Warranty and Maintenance Record", 2) the anti-perforation contractual warranty inspections presented below, and 3) work to repair damage to the vehicle, if any. The maintenance cycle for the anti-perforation contractual warranty stipulates four periodic inspections, at your cost, to be carried out without fail 4 years after the start date of the anti-perforation warranty for passenger vehicles or 2 years after this date for commercial vehicles, and thereafter every 2 years for all vehicles. During these inspections, after washing the vehicle thoroughly if necessary, the repairer will check its condition, determine whether any repairs are required, and carry out those that may be covered by the PEUGEOT anti-perforation contractual warranty. Deterioration due to external causes liable to provoke corrosion will be pointed out and noted on the pages of the servicing booklet provided for this purpose. Please note that: Any repairs to the bodywork (following an accident, damage, etc.) must always be followed by an inspection to be carried out under the same conditions. You are required to have damage due to external causes repaired in compliance with the standards established by PEUGEOT within two months following the inspections, at your own expense. This repair will be recorded in the servicing booklet specifying the company name of the repairer, the date of the repair, the mileage of the vehicle and the invoice number for the work. Presentation of this servicing booklet, duly completed at the periodic inspections, will be required for any claim under the PEUGEOT anti-perforation contractual warranty. 9 15A_CPE_0030_Anglais_UK.indd 9 14/11/2014 14:13:51

PEUGEOT routine servicing In order to maintain the optimum operation of your vehicle, as regards its safety, performance and comfort, it is essential to follow the routine servicing associated with it. This comprises checks, topping up of fluids and operations that are essential to the correct functioning of your vehicle. The content and frequency of servicing depend on the mileage and age of your vehicle. It is essential to keep to the first of these two terms reached. If one or more of the following arduous conditions of use apply to you, a specific servicing plan will be needed: continuous door to door use urban use (as a taxi, ambulance, average speed below 12 mph, driving school) repeated short journeys (below 6 miles) with cold engine (after stopping over 1 hour) extended use in: dusty countries countries where the fuel does not meet PEUGEOT recommendations Use, even occasional, of B20 or B30 type biofuel (Diesel engines) w The routine servicing plan specific to your vehicle was given to you at handover. This document can be found in your vehicle s handbook pack. If this document is missing, - your dealer or any PEUGEOT Authorised Repairer will be able to supply a replacement or - you can print it yourself from your MyPEUGEOT personal space* on the PEUGEOT website * available depending on country Keeping to the PEUGEOT routine servicing is an essential requirement during the warranty period of your vehicle and for all vehicles under a Service Contract 12 15A_CPE_0030_Anglais_UK.indd 12 14/11/2014 14:13:53
PEUGEOT routine servicing The PEUGEOT services comprise a certain number of systematic operations applicable to all vehicles at every service, and additional operations that depend on the vehicle, its age and its mileage. Checks in the vehicle (horn, handbrake, etc.) Use-by-date for the temporary puncture repair kit* Checks underneath the vehicle, including: - safety checks (brakes, steering, etc.) - environmental checks (leaks from the vehicle systems, from the gearbox, etc.) Principal systematic operations for all vehicles * depending on equipment. Checks around the vehicle (condition of the tyres, of the headlamps and lights, etc.) Checks under the bonnet, including topping-up the fluids if necessary (washer fluid, etc.) Checks to comply with the legislation in force in each country (excluding the statutory vehicle test) Diagnostics of the ECUs Bleed the Diesel fuel filter* Change the engine oil Replace the oil filter Update the service indicator 13 15A_CPE_0030_Anglais_UK.indd 13 14/11/2014 14:13:54
Maintenance Recommendations Engine oil level Timing belt and ancillary drive belt Servicing the HDi particle filter system Tyres Shock absorbers Lighting and signalling Check the engine oil level regularly (every 1,000 to 1,500 miles) depending on the use of your vehicle, topping up if necessary with a recommended oil (see pages 21-22). Topping up the engine oil between services is normal. An oil level that is too low or too high introduces the risk of serious damage to your engine. The engine timing belt and the ancillary drive belt have to resist different stresses when the engine starts and when the engine stops. As a result it is normal for them to wear. A faulty timing belt or ancillary drive belt can affect the operation of the engine and stop it working correctly. Please therefore refer to your vehicle's servicing plan for the maintenance recommendations on these components. To ensure optimum operation of the particle filter, PEUGEOT recommends the use of TOTAL QUARTZ INEO FIRST 0W30 or TOTAL ACTIVA / QUARTZ INEO ECS 5W30, or any other oil meeting the PSA PEUGEOT CITROËN B71 2312 or B71 2290.standard. The use of additives such as cleaners or metalisers is prohibited. Check the tyre pressures regularly. Check the tread wear as well, using the visual wear indicators in the tyre treads. When the wear indicators are no longer visible below the tread pattern, the remaining tread depth is less than 1.6 millimetres. The tyres must then be replaced. It can be difficult for the user to identify worn shock absorbers. However, their condition greatly affects braking performance and road holding. Regular checks by a professional are therefore necessary, for your safety as well as for your driving comfort. The replacement of a single bulb, particularly when that bulb has failed, always leads to an imbalance in the lighting, then soon afterwards, the replacement of the bulb on the other side. Always consider replacing bulbs in pairs. 14 15A_CPE_0030_Anglais_UK.indd 14 14/11/2014 14:13:54
Maintenance Recommendations Wiper blades A regular check on condition and cleaning with a damp cloth will prolong their life. Annual replacement will give you the best vision on the road and avoid scratching the windscreen. Air conditioning system Your vehicle is fitted with an air-conditioning system which increases your comfort level by allowing you to select a pleasant temperature in your vehicle, therefore reducing stress and tiredness. By guaranteeing effective demisting, this equipment helps to make your journeys safe. Fitted with a passenger compartment filter, it contributes to the air quality in the vehicle, while filtering out certain pollutants, as well as dust and pollen particles. It thereby minimises allergic symptoms, and with an active carbon filter, unpleasant odours. Having an annual check carried out allows you to make sure that your air conditioning system is working correctly, taking into account the specific usage conditions of your vehicle. 15 15A_CPE_0030_Anglais_UK.indd 15 14/11/2014 14:13:54
Maintenance Recommendations Maintenance of the bodywork (gloss and pearlescent paint) PEUGEOT has made use of the best technologies to ensure that your vehicle s paint looks impeccable and has the best possible resistance to external attack. It is now up to you to care for your bodywork. Appropriate maintenance means you can retain the protective characteristics of the paint and keep its original lustre. This will help you to maintain the value of your vehicle over many years. LOOKING AFTER YOUR BODYWORK WHEN HOW SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS TO TAKE RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS Washing the bodywork: Remove dirt, dust, mud, bird droppings, tree resin, insect secretions, pollen, tar Frequently As soon as possible for bird droppings, resin, insect secretions, pollen and tar which contain chemicals that attack paintwork Washing by hand OR High-pressure washing OR Washing in an automatic car wash with rollers Washing by hand: Remove dust liable to cause scratching by rinsing the vehicle thoroughly before rubbing down. After washing and rinsing, dry the vehicle with a chamois leather to avoid chalky residues. Do not use sponges with an abrasive surface. High-pressure washing: Observe the recommended minimum distance of the spray nozzle from the vehicle (30 cm), particularly where there is stone chipping and around stickers and parking sensors. Washing in an automatic car wash with rollers: Do not use stations where the brushes are poorly maintained and liable to cause micro-scratches, which are particularly visible on dark colours. Do not rub the bodywork when dry. Do not wash in direct sunlight or extremely cold temperatures. Wash more frequently in winter, in areas near the sea or close to industrial establishments (etc.), to remove iodized deposits, mud, soot and fertilizer salts which are highly corrosive. Clean the underside of the body and wheel arches thoroughly. Some stains (tar, etc.) may necessitate additional measures. Do not attempt to rub off dried tar, bird droppings, resin, etc., directly. Rinse deposits thoroughly before removing. Do not use solvents or petrol. Maintenance Recommendations Maintenance of the bodywork (matt and textured paint) Specific advice on the maintenance of matt paint* Never clean the paint without water. Never use an automatic car wash with brushes. Never polish the vehicle, or the alloy wheels. This will cause bright areas in the paint. Never use paint cleaners, abrasive products or polishes, or bright paint protection products (e.g. wax) to care for the paintwork. These products are only suitable for bright finishes. Using them on vehicles with matt finish seriously damages the surface of the vehicle and in particular will cause irreversible stained or bright areas to appear. Do not use high pressure jet wash lances fitted with brushes; they may scratch the paint. Never select a wash programme that finishes with hot wax. Specific advice on the maintenance of textured paint* Apply the advice given in the Maintenance recommendations for matt paint, with the exception of Never use an automatic car wash with brushes, which need not be followed for textured paint. * Available according to version, trim level and the specification for the country of sale. 18 15A_CPE_0030_Anglais_UK.indd 18 14/11/2014 14:13:55
Maintenance Recommendations Maintenance of leather interiors The leathers used have been developed by PEUGEOT using the best technologies to ensure better longevity, optimal comfort and good resistance to external wear. Leather is a natural product and requires certain precautions for use and maintenance. It s up to you therefore to take care of your leather interior. Appropriate regular maintenance is essential to preserve the longevity of leather. It needs to be protected and nourished in order to retain its suppleness and original appearance. WHAT TO DO TO MAINTAIN YOUR LEATHER WHEN HOW SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS TO TAKE Before cleaning leather, you should remove any residues which may scratch the leather while it is being cleaned. RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS Clean Regularly and as required Hand wash To clean leather, moisten a soft cloth with soapy water, then gently rub the surface of the leather. Don t rub too hard. After cleaning, dry the leather thoroughly with a soft cloth. For grease stains, NEVER clean greasy leather with a liquid, you should first soak up the stain (with a sponge or Terre de Sommières [fine clay powder] for example). In the case of a liquid stain, quickly soak up the moisture with a cloth or absorbent paper to prevent the liquid soaking into the leather. Sponge Soap neutral ph Soft cloth Then clean if necessary. Remove dust 2 to 3 times a year Hand wash Clean the leather with a cloth lightly moistened with clear water to clean the pores of dust, without rubbing too hard and avoiding chalky water. Soft cloth Maintain Every year By hand Remove dust from the leather and clean it before applying any cleaning products. Special product for leather Do not use solvents, detergents, petrol, pure alcohol or cleaning products to clean leather. For semi-leather, be careful not to damage other materials with leather cleaning products (textile, alcantara, etc.). For more serious damage (burns, etc.) consult a PEUGEOT Authorised Repairer who will be able to advise you. 19 15A_CPE_0030_Anglais_UK.indd 19 14/11/2014 14:13:55

Additional One Year of Warranty provided by UK dealers for vehicles sold and registered in the UK Conditions In addition to PEUGEOT s two year unlimited mileage Warranty, vehicles supplied by PEUGEOT Motor Company plc and sold and registered in the UK by a PEUGEOT dealer benefit from an additional one year of Warranty provided by your UK PEUGEOT Dealer, provided that the vehicle is owned and operated in the UK. Exported vehicles will lose this benefit. This Warranty is dependent upon the manufacturer s recommended servicing being carried out at the time or distance intervals specified in the PEUGEOT Warranty and Maintenance Record booklet, subject to the vehicle being driven less than 60,000 miles since delivery for passenger cars and 100,000 miles for commercial vehicles excluding Motorhomes and other converted vehicles (Tepee derivatives and Tepee based conversions are classified as passenger cars). PEUGEOT Assistance is not covered within this additional 1-year Warranty but is available from the PEUGEOT dealer network at the time of purchase of the vehicle. Refer to the section entitled PEUGEOT Assistance on page 31. The additional one year of warranty excludes the replacement of parts due to normal wear linked to the use of the vehicle, its mileage, or its geographic and climatic environment. In all other respects, the conditions and exclusions of the additional year of warranty are identical to those of the two year contractual warranty as described in the Warranty and Maintenance Record provided with each vehicle. In the case of a change of ownership, subsequent owners will benefit from the remaining period of Warranty, provided that the conditions of application have been followed by each of the owners. The cost of any repairs covered by the additional Warranty and carried out by a PEUGEOT dealer in another country during an overseas visit will be reimbursed by your PEUGEOT dealer in the UK. 32 15A_CPE_0030_Anglais_UK.indd 32 14/11/2014 14:14:03
