CLASSROOM: MECOMS FUNCTIONAL CUSTOM TRAINING UNIVERSITY Introduction The MECOMS University develops a tailored training for you, based on your needs and expectations. Summary The MECOMS University will create tailored training material and will deliver the training. The development of the tailored training course will be done in cooperation with the implementation team with all parties involved (customer, partner, Ferranti) and will be based on the training framework. About the Training Framework A training framework is a compilation of building blocks where each building block represents a complete training for a process. Every building block can be used in each single training. This enables to create tailored trainings by combining different building blocks. The training framework is a compilation of: > > An excel file listing the processes that will be executed > > Visio flow per process > > Excel file listing the roles associated to the different processes > > A PowerPoint presentation that will be created to explain the different processes > > Happy Flow - as well as Problem Solving exercises for each process. > > Multiple choice quiz > > Documentation with task recording, demo scripts and training manual Objective The objective of this training is to prepare Users to execute the daily processes after the go live of the project. Target Audience Users who work with MECOMS on a daily basis. Conditions & Prices The MECOMS Functional Custom training is created upon request of the client. The duration and content is discussed together with the client. These trainings have no fixed duration. The price of the training will depend on the number of preparation days and the number of training days. These trainings are often organized on-site at the client but can also be organized at the Ferranti offices if training facilities are available. For more info and/or a quote please contact training@mecoms.com A trainer of the MECOMS University can be engaged to repeat delivery of the custom training on a yearly, half-yearly, quarterly or even monthly rhythm based on the amount of (new) staff to be trained. CLASSROOM: MECOMS PROSPECT-TO-CASH FOR KEY-USERS UNIVERSITY Introduction The MECOMS Prospect-to-Cash training for Key-Users focuses on how to interpret the set up and how to execute the standard MECOMS processes. Summary The course starts from a MECOMS environment that is already setup (example: products are already configured and certificates are setup). Each process will be approached in two ways: We will apply a best practice on how to execute a process, and then we will focus on errorsolving. Every process will be explained with theoretical examples and hands-on exercises. Example: you will update the tariffs of a product and will learn to solve errors when the update would fail. You will execute a device replacement and learn what to do when the device replacement does not succeed. The training covers following processes: > > Activities > > Product and tariff management > > Billing and invoicing management > > Contract management - Maintain contract connection - Quote management - Pricing - Contract connection won - End contract connection - Customer management > > Meter data management - Meter reading processing - Consumption processing - Time series processing > > Asset management - Metering asset management Objectives The objective of this training is to provide Key-Users a clear overview on how to execute the standard processes through MECOMS. As Key-User, you will learn which and how processes are supported by the standard MECOMS product and understand the MECOMS terminology. After attending this course, you will be able to give valuable input to the implementation team on how you want the processes to work in MECOMS. Target Audience > > Key-Users of MECOMS customers who will be involved during the implementation of MECOMS from the start of the project until completion. > > Sales Professionals from MECOMS Partners to understand which processes can be improved and automated with MECOMS, without the need to know how the setup is done. SELF-STUDY: MECOMS SURESTEP ORGANIZATION UNIVERSITY Introduction MECOMS Sure Step is a project implementation methodology for MECOMS based on Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step, to ensure alignment with customers and partners implementing the MECOMS solution. This methodology offers a process-driven approach, built on existing proven practices and templates. MECOMS Sure Step improves the way how Ferranti cooperates with customers and partners during the implementation of MECOMS. The Sure Step Methodology starts with Diagnostic as the first of six phases. The goal of the Diagnostic phase is to help you complete the due diligence to select the solution that meets the needs. Diagnostic key activities and deliverables include: requirements and business process review; fit gap and solution blueprint; architecture and scoping assessments; upgrade assessment; project charter; and budget estimate. This course prepares you to conduct these key activities in a professional way. The MECOMS Sure Step methodology features cross-phase processes that group all related activities that span multiple implementation phases in a specific project scenario. Why? Because this clarifies the purpose of the individual activities and provides each project team member a clear understanding of their role, responsibilities, requirements and how they impact other team members. CLASSROOM: MECOMS FUNCTIONAL TRAIN THE TRAINER UNIVERSITY Introduction The MECOMS Functional Train the Trainer -course is designed to support and to enable Trainers at our customers and our partners to create and to deliver MECOMS training themselves to persons using MECOMS on a daily basis. Summary The foundation of this course is a Training Framework that is setup to train Users based on the standard MECOMS Solution. A MECOMS Training Framework is a compilation of building blocks where each building block represents a complete training for a process. Each building block can be used in every training course. This enables to create tailored trainings by combining different building blocks. The training framework consists of: > > An excel file listing the processes that will be executed > > Visio flow per process > > Excel file listing the roles associated to the different processes > > A PowerPoint presentation explaining the different processes > > Happy Flow - as well as Problem Solving exercises for each process. > > Multiple choice quiz > > Documentation with task recording, demo scripts and training manual Approach You will receive pre-defined templates that you will complete with training content that you have adapted. To accomplish this, you first will map the custom processes in your own organisation. Then, you will shape your custom training material in the pre-defined templates starting from the standard content that we already have created to train users based on the standard MECOMS Solution. Step 1: We start explaining the Trainer how to use the MECOMS Training Framework. > > How can you update the MECOMS Training Framework to use for your own organisation > > How to work with the task recorder. > > How to hand over the template documents (PowerPoint presentation, Visio flows, exercise documents, quiz, ) Step 2: We coach the Trainer to create own training material with the use of the MECOMS Training Framework. The Trainer will therefore complete pre-defined templates by reusing and customizing the standard training content that we make available. The level of customization of training content is dependant from how much MECOMS has been customized to improve and automate the utility processes in your company. A Trainer from the MECOMS University will coach you in your role as Trainer with the creation of training material for a sample of the processes until you are familiar to create your own training using the MECOMS Training Framework. The Trainer from the MECOMS University remains available to support you when you create your training resources in the periods where there is no personal assistance of the Ferranti Trainer. Step 3: When you have completed the creation of the training material, the MECOMS University Trainer will review and provide feedback on your training material. You will also be invited to deliver the training to the MECOMS University Trainer who will review and give feedback on your training delivery. Objective After this training, you will be able to create a MECOMS Training for the users in your company tailored to the processes applied in your organisation. Target audience MECOMS Customer: The person in your organization who is assigned with the responsible to develop the competencies of MECOMS Users.
