Presbyterian College is located in the heart of the American South, a region rich in history and known for its friendly culture, its special traditions, and its beautiful scenery. Accommodation Program participants will be provided with on-campus university housing in a residence hall with other American students. We offer several courses that explore Southern Politics, Literature, History, and Religious Traditions. Next spring will feature a special class, Introduction to the American South, that is specifically for international students to explore this region through literature, discussions, and even travel opportunities! Excursions and Activities Several excursions for international students are planned for the semester and are included in the semester fee. Over the spring, students will visit the historic port city of Savannah, Georgia; the Biltmore Estate, one of the largest houses in the country near the mountain town of Asheville, North Carolina; and Atlanta, Georgia, home to some of the most famous cultural attractions in the U.S. In addition to excursions, students will be able to participate in a variety of student events: every week the campus hosts fun and educational activities, including student art shows, plays, movie nights, bands, service projects, and many other events. There is always something going on at PC!

Unique Study Abroad Experience Academics and Special Course: Introduction to the American South PC offers 31 different majors: the most popular are Biology, History, and Business. International students will be able to choose from any class taken by American students. Top course choices for international students include Business, English, Psychology, and History classes. The average class size is 15 students, giving you time to meet and learn from your classmates and PC s outstanding faculty. In addition to regular course selections in the spring, one course will be available only for international students: Introduction to the American South. This course will introduce students to the history, culture and society of this unique region through in-class assignments and projects; through literature, movie, and music discussions; through weekly local excursions and a variety of special lectures.

Students must submit their official school transcript as well as their Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or their IELTS results. 2 32013 Dates and Deadlines Fall orientation for international students begins August 17, 2013. Location Presbyterian College is located in the classic college town of Clinton, South Carolina, in the southern part of the United States. The campus is a little more than two hours away from Atlanta, Georgia, less than an hour away from the mountains, and less than three hours away from the ocean. PC is a close-knit community. The academic buildings and residence halls are close together. Lots of green spaces across campus provide plenty of room to study, relax, and play. Two major cities, Greenville and Columbia, South Carolina, are less than an hour away from PC s campus. Both cities have international airports, malls, and countless restaurants and shops. Greenville is the center of several multinational corporations and has its own minor league baseball and hockey teams. Columbia, the state capital, has its own minor league baseball team as well. In addition, PC is close to many national and state parks, perfect places for quick get-aways for hiking, biking, and enjoying the outdoors.
