Our Projects Village Quays, NSW A multi-stage apartment development in Rhodes, New South Wales. Village Quays consists of three high-rise towers and two six-storey buildings overlooking the Parramatta River, 20 minutes by train from the Sydney CBD. The fire detection system in this luxury apartment complex is built around a network of five Pertronic F120A fire alarm panels. The fire alarm triggers an evacuation system designed to safely evacuate the entire complex according to a pre-planned sequence. Metro Residences, NSW This transport-oriented development features three towers offering an opulent lifestyle and secure parking right on top of Chatswood Transport Interchange, one of Sydney s busiest transport hubs. The towers rise 27, 36, and 40 stories above a retail complex with shops, bars, restaurants, and a metro railway station. A network of four Pertronic F120A fire alarm panels forms the heart of Metro Residences fire detection and alarm system. During an alarm situation the Pertronic network controls a smoke management system designed to maintain the air quality on evacuation routes. Mitcham Village, VIC A few minutes walk from Melbourne s Mitcham Railway Station, this residential and retail complex has two apartment blocks rising five and seven storeys above a two-level basement car-park. The occupants are protected by a Pertronic F120A fire alarm system with a multi-stage smoke control system. During a fire incident, the Pertronic system automatically identifies the preferred evacuation route and alerts building occupants, floor by floor, in a pre-determined sequence designed to safely evacuate the complex. www.pertronic.com.au 02

Our Projects Infinity Tower, QLD This 249-metre skyscraper is Brisbane s tallest building, with 81 storeys and a multi-level basement car park. Infinity Tower offers luxury inner-city living in the North Quarter district of Brisbane s CBD. The building s occupants are protected by a Pertronic Industries automatic fire alarm system, based on a network of Pertronic F120A fire alarm panels. Woodford Correctional Centre, QLD Queensland s largest prison, the maximum security Woodford Correctional Centre is about 80 kilometres north of Brisbane. It was recently upgraded with a new fire detection and alarm system, along with a new control centre for its smoke management system. The new system is built around a network of 34 Pertronic F120A fire alarm panels, along with a one-hundred-point fan control and indication panel for smoke management. New sensors, sounders, and other devices were installed using existing cabling. With help from Pertronic Industries and our skilled contractor, Queensland Corrective Services kept the entire centre fully operational during the transition from old to new alarm and control system. Lady Cilento Children s Hospital, QLD This South Brisbane hospital is the hub of Queensland s state-wide paediatric care network. The facility offers highly specialised services to people from all over Queensland, as well as general health services to children and youths living in the inner Brisbane area. The building has approximately 8 hectares of floor area on twelve clinical levels, along with a four-level basement car park. The complex is protected by a FireMap system and a network of seven Pertronic F120A fire alarm panels monitoring 580 fire zones and more than 6,200 detectors. The smoke management system has a 350-point Pertronic Industries fan control and indication panel. Photo: Wikimedia, Kgbo 03 www.pertronic.com.au

Our Projects Northgate Residential Care Home, SA Helping Hand is an aged care service provider in South Australia. The organisation s Northgate Residential Care Home has 110 rooms and a wide range of recreational and social facilities, catering for people ranging from fully mobile and independent to those with reduced mobility or dementia. Residents, staff, and guests at this upscale facility are protected by a Pertronic F120A fire alarm. The alarm system incorporates more than 490 detectors, including weather-proof heat detectors in several outdoor locations. The fire alarm controls the building s air handling and fire damper systems, and drives a powerful audiovisual warning system with red strobe lights and loudspeakers throughout the facility. Alluvion, WA Alluvion is a high-grade office block in the Perth CBD, overlooking the Swan River. The building has fourteen levels of prestigious office space, with a total floor space of 2.24 hectares, along with three levels of underground car-parking. This large building is protected by a Pertronic F120A fire alarm panel, together with a Pertronic fan control panel for smoke management during evacuation. Westfield Whitford City, WA Situated approximately 18 kilometres northwest of central Perth, this enormous single-level shopping centre has 7.65 hectares under a single roof. Whitford City is protected by a network of five Pertronic F120A fire alarm panels, along with a smoke management system. The entire network can be monitored and controlled from any one of five network control points. A FireMap graphics system provides advanced monitoring, control, and incident management from either of two workstations, one in the Manager s Office, and the other in the Control Room. All major tenancies have mimic display panels that provide accurate information direct from the fire system network. www.pertronic.com.au 04

Manufacturing Our manufacturing operation is designed around the flexibility of our modular product system and its vast range of options and peripherals. Pertronic fire alarm panels are built to specific customer specifications. Our customers expect superior quality and reliability. That s why our ISO 9001-certified factory incorporates advanced manufacturing technology and techniques such as automatic assembly and testing. Pertronic Industries has been manufacturing fire systems since 1986. We have demonstrated the high quality and solid reliability of our products in a wide range of applications across Australia and the Pacific region. Research & Development Pertronic Industries is committed to ongoing research and development. We invest a substantial part of our annual profits in continual innovation and improvement. Research & development at Pertronic Industries is guided by an acute awareness of the critical role of fire detection and alarm systems in safeguarding personnel, protecting property, and maintaining operational continuity. Our research and development process is designed to discover exactly how and why our customers need specific solutions that go above and beyond the capabilities of today s fire systems. Support & Training We are committed to being where we are needed, when we are needed. We work with qualified professional consultants, engineers, and contractors to satisfy the unique requirements of every project, regardless of size or complexity. Expert advice is just a phone call away. Our support and training services cover the entire system life-cycle, including tendering, design, implementation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and upgrading. We strongly believe that prompt, personal, responsive service builds enduring relationships. Our expert staff have worked on many of Australasia s most challenging projects. Our training and support services provide direct access to this wealth of experience. FireMap Firemap PC Graphics provides superior incident location and response management for large or complex sites. The system automatically and rapidly pinpoints important system events such as alarm and pre-alarm conditions. FireMap provides the kind of information first responders and facility managers need to effectively manage urgent situations. The system is designed to help users see how an incident has developed, while keeping them in touch with new events such as alarm signals. The software captures, records, and displays fire alarm system events as they happen. Device and event locations are presented on a hierarchy of maps and floor plans. FireMap s intuitive navigation tools make it easy to monitor and analyse information from complex fire alarm systems. The programme automatically logs events reported by fire alarm panels. This permanent audit trail backs up the fire alarm panels internal audit trail. In multi-panel systems, it adds value by creating a combined audit trail covering the entire system. The FireMap software is designed for simple upgrading and maintenance. The system accepts maps and floor plans in standard graphics formats. User-friendly drag and drop editing capabilities make it easy to redraw zone boundaries and move device locations to keep abreast of building upgrades. Along with our advanced addressable fire alarm panels, FireMap automatically recognises newly installed addressable devices such as smoke detectors as soon as they are connected. If a newly-installed detector reports an alarm situation, the fire alarm panel and the FireMap system will go into fire alarm mode, even if the system has not yet been configured with the new detector s zone or location. A single Pertronic FireMap system is able to monitor and manage multiple internet-connected fire alarm systems. Authorised users can access internet-connected FireMap systems from anywhere in the world. FireMap enhances fire alarm panel functions without affecting basic system operation. www.pertronic.com.au 06
