The topics I cover range from investments in clean technologies to public decision making in response to the impacts of climate change. I also like to cover more fundamental research on different types of option values. Furthermore, the real options theory is relevant for various other research domains such as industrial organization and public economics. At present, I am particularly interested in the management, prioritization and planning of subsurface activities given multiple types of uncertainty. In that context, I am member of the management committee of the EU COST action SUB-URBAN. Currently, my research focusses on how investment decisions on the use of CO 2 for enhanced oil recovery are affected by oil and CO 2 price uncertainties. By combining research in environmental economics and operations research my ambition is to become an outstanding researcher with a unique research profile. Keywords: environmental economics, real options analysis, uncertainty, strategic decision making, clean technologies 1
