HEG Executive Master of Business Administration The Executive MBA Program offered by HEG Fribourg School of Management (hereafter HEG EMBA) aims to: Update the principal disciplines of modern business management; Reinforce competences in strategic management; Acquire the knowledge and apply the tools which allow participants to anticipate changes in the business environment; Improve innovation management across the different stages leading to a systematic implementation of a new idea; Develop the ability to define scenarios in terms of future possibilities for the enterprise; Sensitize participants to a systemic approach through simulations and «business games». Admission Requirements University graduates or graduates of a university of applied sciences, with a minimum of 5 years professional experience, wanting to broaden their knowledge in management. Candidates with comparable qualifications will be admitted on the basis of a written application and an interview thereafter. Applicants whose mother tongue is not English must have a good working knowledge in this language. Course Overview The course is based on case studies in class between instructors and students. All our instructors are experienced professionals in their field of instructions with confirmed pedagogical skills. Module 1: Management Basics (150 hours) Module 2: Change Manager (90 hours) Module 3: Innovation Manager (150 hours) Module 4: Integrated Management (120 Hours) The program is organised in 4 (four) modules, totalling 510 contact hours (or 510 ECTS). Upon successful completion of these modules, students will have 4-6 months to work on their final dissertation which accounts to 30 ECTS, under the supervision of HEG professors to qualify for graduation. Vietnam Partership Program Through our partnership program with Vietnam, students have a bilingual Vietnamese-English curriculum at our local partner campus. During the last 6 months of the course, Vietnamese students may opt to attend either A 4-week stay at HEG Fribourg Campus, Switzerland (Option A), or A 2-week stay at Singapore HEG Partner Campus (Option B). Proof of payment of first semester (equivalent to USD 2500). Until that time, you will only be accepted provisionally as a student at HEG-FR. Missing academic paperwork is required to be submitted to the Admissions Office at HEG-FR no later than 30 days preceding the start of any on-ground courses. Students who fail to provide the required documentation within the required time period risk not being permitted to register for further classes until the necessary paperwork has been received. For online courses managed by our local partners, we accept scanned copy of documents, followed by original copies sent to our local agents. If documents are not in English, you need to provide certified translations as well as the originals by the time of your registration. HEG-FR will not issue official transcripts prior to completing matriculation. Prerequisites Required: English for MBA s for MANAGEMENT BASICS Credit Transfer: As a rule, HEG-FR accepts a maximum of 10 courses (of 30 semester hours each) in transfer for graduate studies. Transfer credits are only granted when the courses or professional work experience apply directly to the student's intended program of studies. If your previous studies have not been in the English language, you will be required to sit for the prerequisites courses English for MBA s for Management Basics organised by our local partner. Upon completion of this preparatory program, you will get a certificate of completion allowing you entry to the HEG EMBA Program.
