Important information You have 180 minutes to solve the practical exercises. Devices allowed for the exam: computer assigned to the candidate, paper, pen, pencil, ruler, sealed notepaper. You can take notes on the internal sides of the exercise sheet and the notepaper, these should be submitted at the end of the exam but their content will not be evaluated. The exercises can be solved in any order. Please pay attention to frequent saving (every 10 minutes); it is suggested that you save your work every time you start a new exercise. You should save your exam work in the exam directory that corresponds to your name. Check that this directory is accessible; if it is not accessible, notify the supervising teacher at the beginning of the exam. Save your works in the exam directory and at the end of the exam check that every solution is in the given directory because only those solutions can be evaluated. Check that the files to be submitted are readable because files that can not be opened can not be evaluated. The source files can be found in the exam directory. In the case of programs that do not support the setting of dimensions in cm, use the conversion 1 cm = 40 px. It is suggested that you read through the exercises first, then solve the individual exercise parts one by one. If your computer has technical problems, indicate it to the supervising teacher. The fact of indication and the observed problem will be recorded. The lost time will be added to the duration of the exam. If the problem is not of computer nature, the correcting teacher should take the description of the case in the record into consideration. (The system administrator can not help the candidate with the solution of the exercises.) At the end of the exam you should indicate the number and name of files created and submitted by you and located in the exam directory and its subdirectories on the first page of the exam document. 1. Quick report The Hungarian Central Statistical Office publishes quick reports in different fields from time to time. Your task is to create a quick report about telecommunication and internet based on the example and the description. During the solution of the exercise work with the following files: rawtext.txt, diagram.png! The text of the report can be found in file rawtext.txt, which is in UTF-8 format. Save your work as report in the default format of the word processor. 1. The layout of the report is A4 with portrait orientation, set each margin to 2 cm. 2. At the end of file rawtext.txt there are three footnote texts labelled 1, 2 and 3. Create numbered footnotes to the text parts labelled with character * according to the example. Move the text of the footnotes from the end of the document. 3. Use font type Times New Roman (Nimbus Roman) and font size 11 points in the text of the report. The font size of the title is 16 points, the font size of the titles before the table and the diagram is 14 points and their style is bold. 4. Use font type Arial (Nimbus Sans) in the header and the footer as well as in the footnote. Set a font size of 11 points in the header and the footer and 8 points in the footnote. 5. Use single line spacing in the whole text. 6. Format title Telecommunication, internet 4 th quarter 2009 according to the example. Set a spacing of 12 points after the title. 7. Set a spacing of 6 points after and a justified alignment for each paragraph in the text of the report until text Number of fixed lines and mobile subscriptions at the end of each period. 8. Set an indent of 1 cm for the first line of the first paragraph after the title. Set the font style of the text of the paragraph to bold. 9. Set a list for the paragraphs shown in the example. The bullet of the list should be at 1.2 cm and the text of the list items should start at 2 cm. There should be a spacing of 6 points before and after the lists but no spacing between the list items. 10. Align text Number of fixed lines and mobile subscriptions at the end of each period centered, set a spacing of 12 points before and 6 points after it. 11. Convert the text part tagged by tabs after the above title into a table with 8 columns and 11 rows. The width of the 1 st column of the table is 1.3 cm, the width of the 2 nd is 1 cm, and the width of the other columns is 2.3 cm. Align the table centered. 12. Merge the cells of the heading in first two rows of the table according to the example. After merging set the height of the first two rows to 1.5 cm each. Align the headings centered both vertically and horizontally. Set the background of the cells to light gray. 13. Align every numerical value in the table centered with the exception of the data of the first two columns. Set the borders of the table according to the example. 14. Type in text Changes in the number of telecommunication services from 1990 to 2009 under the table. Format the text in the same way as the title before the table. 15. Format the text of the header and the footer according to the instructions above and align it according to the example. 17. 2. László Bíró Create a webpage according to the following description and example to introduce László Bíró, a journalist of Hungarian origin and the inventor of the ballpoint pen. The files to be created are biro.html, structure.html and ball.html. All three pages should have the same structure and tone according to the description and the example. The text of the pages can be found in the UTF-8 encoded file birosource.txt. The pictures required for the solution of the exercise are pen.png, photo.jpg, struc.png and magnified.jpg. When using the pictures pay attention to displaying them correctly even after moving the exam directory. Common properties 1. The three pages should have the same structure. For the properties of the pages set the background colour to a shade of blue (colour code #6EB5B8) and the text colour to dark gray (colour code #3A414C). The link colour should be light gray (colour code #756F72) in each state. 2. The title of the pages displayed in the title bar of the browser should be László Bíró. 3. The content of the pages should be placed into a table whose properties are as follows: The different cell number of the rows should be created from 4 rows and 3 columns. The width of the table should be 800 pixels and it should be aligned centered horizontally. The background colour of the table should be green (colour code #A7FFC3). The table should not have a border, both the cell padding and the cell spacing should be 5 pixels. The top three cells of both the first and the third column should be merged. The three cells of the fourth row should be merged. The width of the first and third columns should be 50 pixels. 4. Insert picture pen.png into the first and third cells of the first row of the table. 5. The menu, that is the links to the other two pages and the picture belonging to the current page, is contained in the first three cells of the second column. Type in the texts according to the example and create the links. Format the links using style Heading 1 and align them centered horizontally within the cells. Set the height of the two cells containing the links to 125 pixels on each page. biro.html 6. First create page biro.html. Insert picture photo.jpg into the middle cell of the first row of the table and set a border of 1 pixel for it. 7. Insert the text of the page from file birosource.txt into the fourth row of the table. Create the paragraphs according to the example. 8. Change the links of the menu in accordance with the principles of the first page. 11. Insert the text of the page from file birosource.txt into the fourth row of the table. 3. College In the Cube College the students are taught in small groups. The individual groups are identified with colours. The groups are rated based on their students average after handing out the semester reports. The statistical data are also displayed on the home page of the institute. In the following exercise you have to create this report. Solve the following exercises using a spreadsheet processor. During the solution take the followings into consideration. Whenever possible, use a formula, function or reference in the solution in order to get the required results even if the basic data are changed. There are parts in the exercise that use the results from a previous question. If you could not solve an exercise part completely, use its solution as it is, or instead of a formula resulting in a number enter a reasonable result and work on with that. This way you can receive marks for that exercise part as well. You can use auxiliary cells to the right of column W if required. 1. Import file coll.txt, which is a UTF-8 encoded text file tagged by tabs, into the spreadsheet processor starting from cell A1. Save it as college in the default format of the spreadsheet processor. 2. In column T determine the average of the marks for each student. The average of the marks is 1 if the student received a fail (1) mark from any subject, otherwise it is the arithmetic mean of the marks. 3. In column U rate the students based on their average. The rating for an average below 2.00 is fail, above 2.00 satisfactory, above 2.75 mediocre, above 3.75 good, above 4.50 exemplary and 5.00 is excellent. You may use auxiliary cells or perform auxiliary calculations in the solution of the exercise if required. 4. In the corresponding cells of row 28 determine the average number of justified and unjustified absences, the subject averages and the college average based on the subject averages. 5. Create the second row shown in the example in row 29 of the table. The cells from column D to column S should follow the changes in the first row. Type the content shown in the example into cells B29, C29 and T29. 6. Type the names of the groups into range B30:B33. 7. In range C30:C33 determine the number of students in each group. 8. In range D30:S33 determine the absence and subject averages of the students of each group using a formula that can be copied flawlessly. 9. In range T30:T33 calculate the group averages based on the subject averages. 10. Format the cells of range B28:T33 according to the example. Display the averages of the marks with an accuracy of two decimal digits. Upon setting the column widths and row heights pay attention to every data being fully visible. The width of columns F:T should be the same. The width of columns B:E should be (approximately) twice as much. 11. Create a chart that shows the group averages in the way shown in the example. Set the scale of the value axis according to the example. Set the colours of the columns in accordance with the names of the groups. 4. Traffic restriction Road management organisations regularly publish the country-wide traffic restriction data. The following database contains the traffic restriction data of a report in 2010. 1. Create a new database named traffic. Import the three data tables supplied (restriction.txt, naming.txt and extent.txt) into the database with table names that correspond to the file names (restriction, naming, extent). All three files are UTF-8 encoded text files tagged by tabs, their first lines contain the field names. Add a unique key named id to table restriction. Upon creation, set the suitable types and mark the fields that are used as keys. The list should display the name of the extent and the average length, but the ones with complete closure should be omitted. (6average) 7. Create a report that contains the settlements of the traffic restrictions, the names of the restrictions and their starting and ending dates grouped according to road number and within that according to the names of the settlements. You can create a query for the solution of the exercise if required. Pay attention to the values being visible in each column of the created report.
