STUDENTS MOBILITY - USA Historical trends: The number of students from Malaysia decreased from a peak of 9,074 in 1999/00 to a low of 5,281 in 2006/07. Since 2006/07, the number of Malaysian students in the U.S. has increased however Malaysian students have remained 0.9% of the total foreign student population in the United States.
