Graduate Programmes Our Graduate Programmes offer roles with real responsibilities. We have two exciting Graduate Programmes for you to choose from - the first of which is within our wholly owned subsidiary Bank of Ireland UK and the second within the UK arm of our international Corporate Banking business. Financial Services Partner to: Join Bank of Ireland UK & you ll play a vital part in delivering our strategy to be the long term partner of choice for certain leading and trusted brands whose vision and customer ethos we understand and share. We have a strong and established partnership with the Post Office, where we provide banking products that meet Post Office s commitment to its customers around transparency and value for money. We also have a new financial services partnership with the AA. This partnership combines the financial services expertise of Bank of Ireland UK with the strength of the AA, one of the most well-known and trusted brands in the UK. To give you a deep and rounded understanding of our business and strategy, you ll complete three placements across different business areas in our key UK locations: London, Bristol and Belfast. You may work in a Product Team in Consumer Banking where you ll learn how to develop competitive Current Account, Savings, Mortgage, Credit Card and Insurance products. You ll undertake competitor analysis, develop pricing plans, deliver great customer experiences and support marketing activity. 2 3
Spend time in our Risk or Treasury teams and you ll learn about how we identify, monitor and control key risks or the safe operation and funding of an independently authorised UK bank. Within our Strategy Team, you will work with senior managers in the strategic planning process and learn how strategy implementation is managed and governed. You ll get to see our business and how we interact with our customers from several different angles, working in areas like our Business Banking Relationship Management teams or our Asset Financing business NIIB/Northridge. You ll develop your knowledge of our customer propositions, distribution channels, customer service and business development. I was initially attracted by the opportunities on offer and I had heard positive things from a couple of friends already on the programme. The structure on the Bank of Ireland UK scheme (3 x 8 month rotations) allows you to experience a range of areas/locations broadening your skillset. Adam Balfour Business Management and Economics, Queen s University Belfast Corporate Banking UK Join Corporate Banking UK and you ll work on a team that manages some of the Bank s largest and most prestigious domestic and international clients. Corporate Banking UK provides relationship and transactional banking services to UK corporates operating in a small number of key sectors (Media, Technology and Healthcare). We are positioned as specialists in the UK Corporate Market, with each team possessing significant experience, knowledge and expertise within their respective sectors. As a Graduate you ll spend time as a Trainee Associate working closely with Senior managers, supporting them in the management of a portfolio of domestic and international clients. You ll get the opportunity to attend client meetings and assist in the preparation of credit papers for business propositions. You ll also develop your knowledge of the Bank s core product offerings to meet customer needs. 4 5
