Renewal represents a central paradox of learning (Smith & Lewis, 2011) that requires individuals, teams and/or organizations to simultaneously build on and transcend their past. In my research, I weave together theories of change, learning and novelty to explore how and why renewal can be achieved. PEER REVIEWED JOURNAL ARTICLES Cotton, R.
