Young people Providing young people with the skills, qualifications and enterprising outlook, which give personalised pathways to employment or further study Provided new opportunities for students with learning difficulties and disabilities in partnership with local authorities and other organisations Increased the number of 16-18 year olds in full-time study by 10% Implemented a programme linking Traineeships to Apprenticeship routes in five key sectors - Try B4U Hire Instigated coherent, challenging and personalised Study Programmes, including appropriate Maths, English, work experience and additional activities for all students Provided innovative entrepreneurial, enterprise and careers guidance activities to ensure positive progression outcomes for 95% of students
Adults Providing adults, including those who are workless or low-skilled, with pathways to sustainable employment and career development Diversified our English for Speakers of Other Languages and Basic Skills offer to provide a branded range of programmes with flexible study modes, delivery methods and progression routes Established annual, tri-partite agreements with Camden and Westminster local authorities and Job Centre Plus for programmes of targeted employability training Established a new programme of Continuous Professional Development opportunities for those working in central London as part of the Westminster Kingsway School of Hospitality, Business & Enterprise Extended the programme for International Students to provide income of at least 2 million per annum Introduced new Higher Technical & Professional Education and Access pathways to reflect local skills needs and incorporate a core of work-based learning Westminster Kingsway College Strategic Plan 2014-17
Employers Providing employers with affordable training enabling them to thrive in the London economy Embedded an agile organisational model capable of responding to need and demand from employers and their representative bodies Established sound relationships with employers to maintain Apprenticeship numbers as employers take control of funding Doubled the turnover made through Business to Business training and related activities Become recognised as regional leaders for training in Hospitality, Creative Industries, Retail, Childcare, Facilities Management and Enterprise Utilised European funding to grow engagement with small and medium sized companies in particular
Hospitality sector Providing the Hospitality sector with high quality training tailored to its needs and its employees with pathways to the highest technical and professional skills Reviewed market perceptions of the current portfolio and adapted it according to the intelligence provided Widened our footprint and become the trainer of choice across the Hospitality sector with focused training packages, including management and technical roles in hotels, events/conferences/visitor attractions, bars and pubs, food development, airports and airlines Established an integrated programme of Traineeships and Apprenticeships - Try B4U Hire Doubled the turnover made through commercial training and other activities Extended in-house commercial operations throughout the year to include events and conferencing Westminster Kingsway College Strategic Plan 2014-17

Corporate core Efficient corporate services allowing resources to be focused on the delivery of services to clients Extended opportunities for e-learning across all programmes and introduced a programme of online courses Reviewed all back office systems to improve user satisfaction, ensure fitness for purpose and minimise bureaucracy and regulation Consolidated and improved the estate in line with curriculum needs Established business opportunities that add value for the College, through networking and partnering with public and private sector organisations Embedded a model of management and governance, which balances enterprise and accountability
