America s First Korean channel To our loyal viewers who have supported our vision to bring our audiences the best of Korean television, I am delighted to share the news that TKC will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2011. As we approach this milestone, we pledge to continue providing you with the highest quality of programming in our efforts to serve you and our communities. On March 7, 1986, TKC made history by airing New York s first all Korean cable broadcast. Since then, TKC has proudly taken the responsibility of informing our Korean-American communities with the most current and entertaining programming selection in the New York tri-state area. TKC has always been a pioneer by evolving with the changing media trends and technology. We are committed to the role of an industry pioneer and will continue to bridge our two cultures responsibly. The Company Established in March 1986, TKC (The Korean Channel) is the first and foremost Korean language cable television network in New York. We provide a wide variety of programming including SBS dramas, entertainment shows, sporting events, news and documentaries to an increasingly global audience. Our award winning TKC Newsdesk covers daily events and highlights within the Korean-American community. We also produce local weekly information programs featuring businesses, religion, health, entertainment and technology. Currently, TKC is reaching more than 120,000 households through major U.S. cable service providers such as Time Warner Cable and Cablevision system operators in the New York metropolitan area, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Programming TKC Newsdesk is broadcast throughout the entire tri-state area including all New York City boroughs, Upstate New York, Long Island, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. As America s first Korean-American television station, TKC is proud to be the most prominent Korean-American news provider in the nation. Our reporters and staff are dedicated to bringing the Korean-American community with the best and most current news locally and internationally. News and Information Start the day with up-to-date news around Korea and the world. Morning Wide, a live morning news show, delivers news from TKC and SBS News bureaus around Korea and the world. TKC Newsdesk is New York s prime time leader delivering up-to-minute news and information. TKC news center gathers complete and concise domestic news in depth, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Drama TKC is the exclusive broadcaster of SBS dramas, bringing our viewers the best Korean TV dramas, from contemporary to traditional, suited for the different tastes of audiences. Considering that drama is the most watched genre by Korean viewers, more than 30 hours (18%) of hit dramas per week will satisfy the hunger for dramas of audiences. Out of all the networks in Korea, SBS tops the weekly rating chart with its drama programming, according to major media research companies.

Entertainment TKC brings its viewers laughter and joy through entertainment programs. Daily talk shows, such as Good morning and Kim s U, respectively take on their own unique entertainment show structure. They address familial issues, adolescence, relationships and celebrity gossip, which effectively attract the female demographic, ages 19 and over. Ya Sim Man Man, a landmark program without question, is by far the most watched celebrity talk show in Korea. Guests on the show are among the top A list celebrities and they reveal their secret lives behind the scenes. The phenomenal comedy program Ut Chat Sa ranks as the number one comedy program which appropriately airs on Sunday afternoon, is a family variety show that brings laughs to all generations. Sports TKC sports programs are full of excitement. SBS original golf programs are very popular among our viewers, since Korean golf demographic has grown along with world famous Korean golfers such as K.J. Choi, Se Ri Pak, and Y.E. Yang. With exclusive Korean language sports programming ranging from the Summer Olympics in Beijing to the World Cup Championship, TKC is looking to bring its audience into the global arena of sports.
