Product Overview PayFox is the TransAction Central mobile application that turns an iphone/ipad into a credit card terminal. It s a state-of-the-art, secure way for merchants to grow their business in all new directions, and it s FREE to download from the itunes App Store. Perfect for anyone with an on-the-go workforce Contractors Caterers Field management providers (i.e.: plumbers, roofers, etc.) Salons Merchants can accept credit cards anywhere: In the field Trade shows Outdoor events School functions Free download from the itunes App Store Processes Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Amex, plus signature debit Transactions are fast, convenient and secure Merchants can e-mail receipts, access customer contact information, and use geo-location mapping technology Supports add-on gratuities and tips Functions with the iphone/ipad regardless of the wireless service provider (AT&T or Verizon) Peripheral Devices The PayFox iphone/ipad card reader allows merchants to swipe their customers credit cards rather than manually typing the credit card numbers. This cuts down on errors and makes transactions faster and more secure. In addition, the use of a card reader reduces Interchange cost by allowing the user to receive swiped rates. The card reader attaches to the merchants iphone and cradles it, making swiping easy for the merchant or the customer. There are separate card readers for the iphone 3G/3GS 4/4S and the ipad. Note: PayFox is supported on ipod Touch as manual entry; PayFox does not have compatible card readers available for those devices at this time.
Product Features and Functionality PayFox offers the functions of a point-of-sale terminal and a payment gateway: Sale Void Transaction History (maintained in the phone and the web portal) Inventory of products (aka mobile shopping card ) Geo-location of sale Storage of customer contact information AVS and CVV2 (required for key entered transactions) Level II data supported (PO Number, Tax Amount required for business cards) Merchant and customer e-receipts Signature Capture PayFox Requirements An iphone 3G,3GS, 4, 4S, or ipad (card reader available) An ipod Touch (manual entry only) A TransAction Central Classic Gateway Account (Retail Only) Note: A unique e-mail address is required at the time of PayFox registration for each TransAction Central ID. Account Activation Programming Enablement Downloading / Installing PayFox You can download the PayFox application from the Apple App Store using your mobile device. To download PayFox via Mobile Device: 1. Within the Apple App Store search for PayFox or ucharge. Select AppNinjas Inc, ucharge if more than one search result appears.
2. Select the FREE button to initiate the download. The FREE button turns into the INSTALL button. Select the INSTALL button. 3. Enter your itunes Password and select OK. 4. The PayFox (ucharge) application downloads and installs on the mobile device.
5. When accessing PayFox for the first time, the following screen appears. Enter all the Set Up New Account information. Select Signup. 6. Enter PAYFOX* in the Setup Code box. Select Continue. Alert: PAYFOX (all caps) must be entered in the Setup Code field. If an incorrect Setup Code is entered, the following screen appears. THIS IS NOT A DESIRED SCREEN. If this screen is reached, the application must be uninstalled and reinstalled/setup.
7. Once set up properly, the following screen displays. 8. To configure the PAYFOX application to the TransAction Central gateway account, select Settings in the top right corner of the main sale screen.
9. Select Gateway 10. You use the Gateway Setup screen to configure the PayFox application to communicate with TransAction Central. After you open the Gateway Setup screen, enter the following information: Gateway: Transaction Central Merchant ID: TransAction Central ID # RegKey: TransAction Central RegKey Select Save 11. If PayFox is configured accurately, the following Message appears.
If a duplicate email is being used, the following error appears. If login information is entered incorrectly, the following error appears. Once set up, the PayFox user receives the following email from AppNinjas. The user must follow the emailed instructions included in order to finalize the setup. 12. After you receive the email, select the link embedded in the email. The following screen appears. 13. The user must log into the account using the email address supplied during registration, and the temporary password supplied in the email from AppNinjas. Logging into the AppNinjas website allows the PayFox user to configure receipts, manage mobile devices, see transaction reporting, and manage account settings.
PayFox Online Portal Instructions Gateway Settings You can update the Merchant ID and RegKey used to activate PayFox in the Gateway Settings. This should only be used when the PayFox user is switching to a new TransAction Central account. On-Line Portal Receipt Configuration PayFox can email a receipt to the customer. PayFox must be configured in the AppNinjas online portal before a receipt can be emailed. The associations have data requirements for a receipt. The customer receipt must include the following pieces of information to meet compliance rules: Merchant DBA Name Merchant DBA Address Merchant Customer Service Phone Number
To Configure Receipts 1. You can log into your ucharge/payfox online portal at https://uchargeapp.com/portal. Your username and password came in your welcome email. 2. Select Receipts (right hand side of the screen)
The PayFox user enters the following information into the receipt form shown below: Company Name: Merchant DBA Name Receipt Intro Text: Merchant DBA Address & Customer Service Phone Number 3. The PayFox user configures the footer for the receipt; specifies which email addresses should be sent a Merchant Copy of the receipt; and can turn the Geolocation Map for receipts On or Off. 4. Select Save Changes.
Manage Terminals You can activate new devices to be used with your PayFox account or remove devices no longer in use in the Manage Terminals section of the portal. You can view the iphone s Device ID in the Terminal Info section of the Settings menu. \ Note: Once a device is removed from the Manage Terminal list, reporting is no longer available for that device within the ucharge Portal. However, Transaction Central continues to provide reporting for deleted devices. Account Settings You can update your AppNinjas Portal account email address and password using the Account Settings menu option.
Products List You use the Product List to setup products that are added to PayFox transactions. The product price you enter on this screen is automatically used when you process a transaction for this product; however, you can manually override the automatic price if you desire. You can add products via the PayFox mobile application or via the Merchant Portal. Setting a PayFox PIN Optional Phone Setting Note: A PIN (Personal Identification Number) cannot be retrieved once set. It is very important to make note of the PIN at the time it is set. PayFox needs to be re-installed if the PIN is forgotten. Setting a PayFox PIN Setting a PIN for PayFox protects the PayFox user s processing account from being used by anyone else. To set the PIN: 1. Select Settings from the main sale screen and the settings screen displays: 2. Scroll to PIN Lock, located under Customizations
3. Toggle PIN Lock switch to ON. 4. Enter the desired Passcode. The Passcode can be any combination of letters and numbers. 5. Select Set Note: Once Set is selected, the PayFox application requires the Passcode upon startup. Deactivating PIN To deactivate the PIN security feature: 1. Select Settings from the main sale screen 2. Toggle the PIN Lock switch to OFF
Password Protecting iphone / ipod Touch / ipad In addition to assigning a PIN to a PayFox account, setting a password for the iphone further protects the account from misuse. The password used for the device should not be the same as the PayFox PIN. PayFox Main Screens and Options The main screen is where basic transactions are setup and processed. The credit card number, expiration date, total amount, customer email, zip code, CVV security code, and a quick description of the product are entered here. The more button allows for additional sale information about the customer including address, phone, country, customer ID, tax, and an invoice number.
The user may add the following optional cardholder information to the transaction. First Name Last Name Phone Customer # Address City State/Province Country Invoice # PO Number Sales Tax
Transaction Processing Sale Once the PayFox application is launched, the main transaction processing page appears. Enter credit card number * Enter expiration date of card* Enter amount of sale Enter email address where receipt should be sent. Enter CVV * Enter Zip Code* Enter a description for the sale *Applies to manually entered transactions only. If the user would like to enter more information, select the...more button, and another screen opens where customer, address, and order details can be added to the transaction. After transaction information is entered, the Charge It button turns into the Signature button*. For more details about these fields, please see the Screens and Options section. * Charge It button only turns into the Signature button if the Signature Required setting is turned ON.
Selecting the Signature button allows the customer to sign for the sale using their finger as a writing utensil. Select the Charge It button to process the sale.

Void/Refund Voids and refunds are processed from the Transaction List. To Void or Refund any transaction: 1. From the Main Transaction page, select History. The Transaction List appears. 2. Select any transaction to be voided or refunded. 3. The refund/void box pops up. 4. Select the Void button to void the transaction. 5. Enter the Refund Amount and select the Refund button to process a refund. Select the Cancel button to cancel and return to the main sale screen
Inventory After clicking on the Inventory button, the user is able to select an existing product for a transaction or to add a new product.

PayFox Settings From the main screen, select Settings to access the general settings for PayFox. Field Name Testing Mode Auth-Only Mode Currency Company Name Your Account PIN Lock Device Name Request Signature Geolocation Request Tips & Default Tip % Support Description Allows you to enter and process transaction information to verify PayFox is working. No money is transacted during this test. This feature is not currently available and should be set to OFF. This should always be set to USD. The PayFox user entered this information during set up and it must match the DBA name used on the merchant processing account. This email address used by the PayFox user to activate the account. This allows a merchant to password protect PayFox. This allows a PayFox user to name a device. Turning this option on will force a signature to be entered before the transaction can be completed. This should always be ON. This feature uses your device s GPS to capture the location where the transaction was processed. If this option is on, a map will display on receipts sent to the customer. This feature presents the PayFox user with an easy way to add a gratuity. When these options are turned on, a small box appears on the Signature screen reflecting the Tip amount specified with the Default Tip % amount. The tip percentage can be adjusted on this screen by clicking the Plus or Minus button. The tip amount is automatically calculated and added to the sale total. Note: This is a Tip at time of sale feature and not a tip adjust feature. This collection of links takes you to various
Field Name Device ID Version Description guides, websites and support numbers. This is the ID assigned to a device once it has been activated. Each device activated received a unique device ID. The PayFox application currently installed on the device. History You view historical data by selecting the History button from the main PayFox screen. Transactions processed through PayFox are reflected on this screen. This list displays transactions processed on the device being used. TransAction Central stores full reporting data for all transactions processed through PayFox, and these transactions may be viewed within the Virtual Terminal.
Voids and Refunds are processed from the Transaction List. The user selects the transaction to Void/Refund and clicks on it. The Void/Refund box pops up. The user can void or refund the transaction at this point. If the user clicked a transaction in error, simply select Cancel.
Contact Information In the event that a PayFox user is doing business with a customer whose contact information is stored in an iphone, some of the fields can easily be filled out using the More page as shown in the following steps. 1. Select the More button. This takes you to the More Fields screen shown on the following page.
2. Select the Customer button in the top right. 3. Select the Contact you want to add to the transaction. The Customer appears on the More Fields page in the previous graphic. Users that have customer contact information in an iphone contact list may attach the contact information to a transaction (or enter it manually). Users may
also log into the Merchant Portal and attach additional contact information to a sale that has already processed. On this screen, a merchant can: Update Customer Information to be stored with a transaction Resend a receipt for a processed transaction View the signature captured with a transaction There are several hyperlinks on this page that offer additional functionality. Edit: Edit allows the user to update Customer information for this transaction. Map: This opens a Google Map to the location where the transaction was made. This only displays if Geolocation was active on the phone at the time of the transaction. Resend Email: This resends the transaction email to the email address the customer supplied. Signature: The merchant can click on the Signature to view a larger picture of it. Multiple iphone Devices When using multiple iphone devices on a single PayFox account, the first phone must be registered using Set Up New Account. All subsequent iphones must download the application and Log In To Your ucharge Account using the same e-mail address and password as the initial iphone that registered the account.
PayFox accounts are driven by a unique e-mail address. Each Transaction Central ID number must be associated with a single e-mail address and password. TransAction Central PayFox is powered by TransAction Central, allowing users to enjoy all of the features and functionality available with the TransAction Central Virtual Terminal. Users are set up with our standard auto-close option in order to settle batches each day. The PayFox application sends transaction information directly to TransAction Central using SSL/TSL encryption. Once a transaction is processed, an e-mail receipt is stored in the phone and sent to the cardholder containing only non-sensitive data (i.e.: truncated card numbers). No sensitive data is stored within PayFox or on the web portal.
