Characteristics of agile organisations What is the HVP agility model? Our research enabled us to develop and academically test our HVP agility model. The HVP agility model comprised of three underlying capacities of an organisation: Horizon (H): The capacity to continuously sense the environment for emergent threats and opportunities. The HVP agility model demonstrates that agility is a multidimensional capability. Velocity (V): The capacity to quickly mobilise or redeploy funds, people and information across its network in a goal-directed manner. Plasticity (P): The capacity to rapidly form and dissolve internal and external relationships and make changes to the nature of relationships. Within an organisation, this also requires coherence of Culture (C), Strategy (S) and Leadership (L). Organisational alignment brings it all together.
