21 What is the R&D Clause? It is an agreement obligation for oil or gas fields with an extraordinary production (concession agreement) = + In the onerous cession agreement, signed up with Petrobras, 0,5% of the gross revenue must be invested in universities and research institutions.

30 A system in constant evolution The role of ANP Round 11 - ANP will increase its role in the agenda definition for investments in R&D clause Create a scientific Committee to elaborate and publish an annual list of priorities to guide activities and projects relevant to the oil and gas sector and biofuels; Evaluate and approve R&D activities and projects to be carried out in Universities and Research Institutes; Include the possibility of approval of projects in the fields of Human, Social and Life Sciences relevant to the O&G industry and biofuels, not exceeding 20% of the total amount invested.
