2 PrairieEvents Spring 2008 Letter from the President This year Prairie Community Bank will celebrate 10 years of operations. Prairie went from a storefront location to a new permanent facility and 2 locations. Prairie has continued to grow and provide the community with the service it expects. Prairie continues to offer innovative products including Free Business Checking and Remote Deposit. As the only community bank in Marengo and Union, we are committed to providing you with quality service & products. Prairie Community Bank ended 2007 with record growth and record earnings. Our goal for 2008 is to stay on course. We would like to say thank you to our customers, shareholders and employees who have made all of our accomplishments possible. The investment of our shareholders, the continued business from our customers, and the dedication of our employees have made our achievements of today possible. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to another successful year at Prairie Community Bank. Dianna Torman President & CEO Meet Our Board of Directors Barrett O Connor of Huntley was appointed to the Board of Directors of Marengo Bancshares, Inc. and the Prairie Community Bank Board in July Mr. O Connor brings over 45 years of financial expertise, including joining EFS Bank in 1978 as Controller. He became a board member in 1984, Senior Vice President in 1986, President/CEO in 1994 and CEO in Mr. O Connor is currently retired and involved on several community boards. Annette Hammortree was raised and currently resides in Marengo. Ms. Hammortree has been providing financial services for clients in McHenry County and the Chicagoland area for over 20 years. She operates Hammortree Financial Services in Crystal Lake, a division of O Malley & Associates. Ms. Hammortree has served as a director of Prairie Community Bank and Marengo Bancshares, Inc. since April 2006.

3 Spring 2008 PrairieDirectors Tim Emerson was born and raised in Marengo and currently resides in Marengo. He has 30 years of banking experience and has been a shareholder and employee of Prairie Community Bank since its inception. Mr. Emerson is the Senior Vice President & CFO of the Bank and was appointed as a Director in April 2005, and elected as a Director of Marengo Bancshares, Inc. in April Kim Meyers was born and raised in Marengo and has been a shareholder of Marengo Bancshares, Inc. since its inception. Ms. Meyers is an attorney with Pollock, Meyers & Eicksteadt. She has a background in corporate finance and information technology. Ms. Meyers became an Advisory Director of Prairie Community Bank in April 2006 and was appointed a Director in April Albert Hicks has been a Marengo resident for over 44 years and has been a shareholder of the Company since inception. Mr. Hicks recently retired from Arnold Engineering after 42 years. Mr. Hicks became an Advisory Director of Prairie Community Bank in April 2003 and was appointed as Director in April He was appointed as Director of Marengo Bancshares, Inc. in January Tim Young is the owner of Dorina So- Good, Inc. in Union. Mr. Young s family has owned and operated Dorina from its Union location since He took over in 1986 and has grown the private-label food manufacturer into a nationally recognized company. Mr. Young and his family have lived in Union for over 14 years. He became an Advisory Director of Prairie Community Bank in April 2006 and was appointed as Director in April Dianna Torman was raised in Union and currently resides in Marengo. Ms. Torman joined Prairie Community Bank as Vice President and Senior Lender in January 2003 and was appointed as President of the Bank in April She was also appointed as a Director of the Bank and Marengo Bancshares, Inc. in April Ms. Torman has over 20 years of banking experience and is active in the community. Thomas Dickerson has been a Marengo resident for over 30 years and has been a shareholder of the Company since its inception. Mr. Dickerson has owned and operated Hubbs Greenhouse in Marengo for over 30 years and established Grower s Outlet in He has served as director of Prairie Community Bank and Marengo Bancshares, Inc. since April 2004 and was elected Chairman of the Board in April Michael Galante has been a Marengo resident for over 30 years and has been a shareholder and director of Marengo Bancshares, Inc. since its inception. Mr. Galante is the former owner of Gallant Construction in Marengo and now pursues various business and real estate investments. Mr. Galante possesses a strong background in both residential and commercial construction.

4 Organization of a new DeNovo bank, soon to be Prairie State Bank, began in early 1997 and opened its doors on April 2, Prairie State Bank changed its name to Prairie Community Bank on January 1, 2004 and continues to grow as the only locally owned community bank in Marengo and Union

5 The Bank built a permanent facility in Marengo and moved in May Prairie Community Bank expanded to Union in June 2006, with plans for a permanent facility being built in Union in Prairie began with five employees and approximately $3 million in capital. She is married and residing in Belvidere with her husband. She grew up in upstate New York and is an active member of Big Brother/Big Sister. We welcome her as our new Retail Banking Supervisor. JoAnne Brackmann joined Prairie as a Customer Service Specialist in December JoAnne has lived in Marengo for over 40 years and has been active in the Marengo business community for many years. She has two sons and one daughter and enjoys spending time with her 3 grandchildren. JoAnne is a true asset to Prairie Community Bank. Anna Dunek, born and raised in Marengo, joined Prairie Community Bank as a Loan Specialist in January She brings with her over 10 years of local lending experience. She is married and has 3 daughters. Anna is involved in her local church and is the founder of Midnite in Marengo (5K walk/run race). We welcome Anna to the Prairie team.

8 Wagner Promoted to Vice President Dawn Wagner started with Prairie in March 2006 as the Union Banking Center Officer. She was promoted to Vice President on January 5, 2008 and now works in our Marengo office. Dawn brings with her over 20 years of banking experience and extensive knowledge of the Marengo and Union communities. Nizzi Promoted to Union Manager Amanda Nizzi began working at Prairie in September 2006 as a Retail Specialist. She has also become proficient in loan processing and teller work. Amanda was promoted to Union Bank Manager on January 14, 2008 and will oversee all aspects of our Union location. Amanda continues to grow her banking career with Prairie and is a tremendous asset.
