3 JUDGES Chris Weiss D 82 President and CEO, Dynamic Clinical Systems [email protected] Chris Weiss is the driving force behind Dynamic Clinical Systems. As co- founder, president, and CEO, Chris has been with DCS since its inception and in less than a decade has built the company into a leader in electronic patient- reported outcomes. While Weiss work and education background are based in computer sciences, his roles at DCS cover virtually every aspect of management, business, financing, and technology development. Chris has more than 30 years in IT and business management, in both industry and consulting, including long- term assignments at GE, Arthur D. Little and Accenture. He has a BA in Computer Science from Dartmouth College. Phil Ferneau D 84 TU 96 Managing Director and Co- Founder, Borealis Ventures [email protected] Phil capitalizes on over ten years of experience working with entrepreneurs in the extended Dartmouth College network to identify and support the most promising technology commercialization opportunities. He currently is a Director on the boards of Borealis portfolio companies Avedro, Bar Harbor Biotechnology, Direct Vet Marketing, FetchDog, and PCD Partners. Phil also led Borealis' investment in Adimab and the firm's prior investments in Medical Metrx Solutions (acquired by AIG Altaris Health Partners) and GlycoFi (acquired by Merck & Co.). Michael Balmuth D 85 General Partner, Edison Ventures [email protected] General Partner Michael Balmuth directs Edison's New England regional team based in the Boston area, and also heads Edison's industry sector practice in healthcare information technology. Michael has 25 years of technology industry experience as a venture capitalist, investment banker and software executive. During the past 15 years in the Boston area, he served as Managing Partner of Mainspring Capital and General Partner at Summit Partners. He led the East Coast office for the Summit Accelerator Fund as a founding partner. Michael has served as a Director of numerous public and private companies. Previously, Michael worked in technology investment banking with Broadview International. He completed M&A transactions and equity investments totaling over $1 billion. His early IBM career spanned sales, marketing, corporate development and systems engineering. Marty Doyle D 76, Senior Managing Director, Hanover Advisors, LLC CEO, Vascular Access Technologies [email protected] Marty Doyle is the senior managing director of Hanover Advisors, LLC, a business and financial consulting firm based in Hanover, New Hampshire, which provides financial and strategic services to technology- based emerging companies and to established companies seeking to grow. The firm specializes in structuring and negotiating patent licenses and strategic partnerships between entrepreneurial companies and Fortune 500 companies. In addition to his role as an adviser, Doyle has been the founder and senior executive of four startup companies that either sold or licensed their

Currently he is CEO of Balch Hill Medical and its Vascular Access Technologies division which markets innovative IV and other catheter products for diagnostic and therapeutic applications based on technology developed at DHMC. In 1995, he established a medical diagnostic ultrasound development company which partnered with Microsoft and Intel in the development of the world's first PC- based diagnostic ultrasound system. His company was named Microsoft's Medical Partner of the Year in 1998 at a worldwide conference hosted by Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer. Marty recently completed his tenure as senior operating officer of a specialty pharma company in Florida during which time he negotiated the out license of that company's proprietary advanced wound care technology to 3M Medical. Doyle writes and lectures on topics of interest to emerging companies and their owners, including serving as a member of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network and volunteer mentor to numerous inventors and startup ventures in the Dartmouth community by reviewing business plans, structuring ownership, and by advising growing companies on how to raise capital and to form synergistic relationships with large domestic and foreign corporations. He recently served as a guest lecturer at Penn s Wharton school in a graduate MBA course on life science business strategies. Marty is also founder and CEO of ideationsandbox, LLC, a product commercialization firm which produces marketing plans,trade shows and Web strategies for entrepreneurs and emerging companies. He has been nominated twice for Entrepreneur of the Year in the state of Florida and is a founding member of the Dade County Beacon Council Business Development Board, Florida Enterprise, and an Executive Committee Member and former officer of the Dartmouth Class of He obtained his AB from Dartmouth with distinction in Economics and received his JD with high honors from Boston College School of Law where he was elected to the Order of the Coif Legal Honorary Society.

6 COMPETITORS Blink(TM) Ultrasound (1:30-2:00 PM) Blink(TM) Ultrasound, which currently possesses U.S. Patent , is a compact, portable ultrasound machine with a 12 LCD display that will provide image (spatial) resolution comparable to X- ray images. This improved spatial resolution allows for finer differentiation of muscles, vessels and internal organs thereby improving diagnostic capability. Therefore, Blink(TM) Ultrasound will allow healthcare practitioners to utilize ultrasound to diagnose diseases and conditions for which ultrasound is currently not utilized.
