Over the years Blitzstrom and First Solar have built a strong and lasting collaborative partnership upon which BELECTRIC is able to draw. The module technology does not rely on silicon as a semiconductor at all. This, and other improvements, offers a number of advantages VDC System Voltage - Nanosolar high-power thin-film modules: Nanosolar is the industry s best-funded private manufacturer of solar electricity cells and modules. The company is known for its breakthrough capability of simply being able to print a solar cell based on CIGS, the intrinsically most stable and efficient thin-film semiconductor. The result are cells that can be produced with unprecedented throughput and cost efficiency. First Solar thin-film module technology at a glance: Stable performance even at high temperatures: With silicon solar cells, the efficiency drops as solar imission increases and temperature rises. With FS technology, this effect is dramatically less pronounced, giving significantly more efficiency during the hot noon hours of the day. Climate protection during production: Thanks to the reduced consumption of raw materials and energy during manufacturing of the First Solar modules, production also accounts for a very positive environmental balance. Investment safety: High rated output (80% for 25 years) and the no-cost Collection and Recycling Program by First Solar guarantee an attractive and uncomplicated solar investment. First Solar thin-film solar module 1500 V DC system voltage: As a high-current module certified for an industry-first 1500 V DC system voltage, it affords an extensive higher panel array length than conventional modules. High stability and material strength: By using high-strength glass in the back and the front a 70% larger spanning distance between mounting rails is possible, relative to conventional thin-film panels. Innovation on 5,7m² - Masdar PV s amorphous silicon thin-film modules: Masdar PV develops and manufactures thin-film photovoltaic modules with a very attractive cost-benefit ratio. The amorphous silicon technology affords a photovoltaic application in free-field solar power plants and large-scale roof-mounted pv systems. Compared to conventional silicon pv modules, the Masdar a-si modules achieve higher energy yields at high external temperatures and under diffuse light conditions. Sharp NA product series at a glance: Innovative microamorphous tandem structure: Patended tandem structure with an amorphous and a microcrystalline silicon layer offering a stabilized module efficiency of 9.5 %. Solar energy at cloudy weather: The thin-film structure lets the pv modules become more insensible of temperature increasings. According to other thin-film technologies the Sharp structure delivers excellent energy yields under diffuse light conditions. The production lines at Masdar PV allow the manufacture of solar modules in size of up to 5.7m². Thereby this factor gives system integrators the flexibility to adapt the photovoltaic module size to their particular system installation conditions. 4 Straight module rows with BELECTRIC substructure Inverter Systems - the heart of our solar power plants Compared to many competitors, the substructure of our solar power systems is exceedingly simple and sturdy at the same time. It consists of only 3 standardized steel, wood and aluminum parts. All components are of heavyduty industrial quality, impervious to any physical influences and designed to withstand outdoor conditions for entire life span of the plant. Thanks to the ideal combination of the straight-line generator block and our advanced inverter technology BELECTRIC solar power plants achieve a superior performance ratio. Advantages of the BELECTRIC substructure: Optimum orientation of the solar modules: Accurate linear (laser) alignment of the modules allows for the same incidence of light for every solar module. The module rows are positioned in a calculated distance from each other, such that they do not cast a shadow on one another during the morning and evening hours. Preservation of vegetation: Through the low degree of ground sealing by the substructure and due to the semi-opaque generator block continuous preservation of vegetation is ensured. An accurate replication of the planning: Through systematic construction by means of special developed machinery the plant is accurately positioned on the ground, exact to the milimetre, which allows for unlimited size of the plant. BELECTRIC s PV power plants generate direct current (DC) which is then converted into alternating current (AC) and fed into the grid through the inverter. The optimal performance of the inverter is crucial for the overall efficiency of the photovoltaic system. It is important that the output of the inverter match the power frequency and voltage of the utility grid. BELECTRIC s inverters constantly and automatically monitor and adjust those parameters for optimal performance at all times. The failure of an inverter component can cause significant production yield losses at the system level. BELEC- TRIC inverters are fitted with a comprehensive set of safety, redundancy and control features that allow the solar power system to continue operating even in the unlikely event of a component failure. In such a case, a sophisticated control circuit automatically assigns a working device to the functions of the damaged device and logs relevant data for later analysis. With those unique features, BELECTRIC inverters minimize the impact of a technical problem on the overall system efficiency.
