3 HOW TO USE THE CASHORCARD DASHBOARD

4 1. CREATE A PRODUCT The first step to getting started is to create your products. To do so, head on over to the menu on the left-hand side, select My Products > Products > Add New Product. Fill out the details as shown in the image. Note: fields with an asterisks (*) are mandatory 2. CREATE A CATEGORY Every product should be assigned a product category. You can create a new category in the Add Product window by selecting Create New Category. Choose a category name and color and click Save. You can now assign products to this category. 3. CREATE A TAX Every product should be assigned a tax. You can create a new tax in the Add Product window by selecting Create New Tax. Choose a tax value (%) and tax name and click Save. You can now assign products to this tax. Once your product at least has a name, a category, a tax and a selling price you can press Save to create it. You can also add a bar-code, SKU or product variants such as sizes or colors. July 2015 Page 2

5 4. EDIT PRODUCTS To edit products that you already created, go to My Products > Products > Fast Edit. You can quickly change the product name, label, SKU and price by editing them and hitting Save as shown in the image. You can edit existing categories and taxes by following the same steps, but going to My Products > Categories/Taxes > Fast Edit. 5. ORGANIZE YOUR PRODUCTS You can decide how you want your products to be displayed in the POS app. To organize your product display go to your online CashOrCard dashboard and follow these steps: Go to Menu > My Products > Product Reorder. The list on the left-hand side represents all products that aren t visible in the POS. The mock-up tablet on the right-hand side represents the product order you see in your POS. Please consider that the exact amount of products visible per page depends on the type and size of tablet you use. The first 6 pages are visible. Products beyond these pages can be accessed through search or by the use of a bar-code scanner. You can drag and drop products from the list into the POS to make them visible or from the POS into the list to hide them. Within the POS you can move the products around to display them according to your need. Once you are ready select Save and sign in to the POS to see the new order. July 2015 Page 3

6 6. DOWNLOAD THE APP You can now download the POS app from the app stores. You can do so by using search in the itunes app store or Google Play Store and type in CashOrCard POS. You can then install the app on your device. July 2015 Page 4

8 1. REGISTER YOUR DEVICE The first time you sign in to the POS app, the app will ask you to register your device. To do so, select Proceed. You can then add your store by filling out the name and address. You can always add more stores later or link to a different device. Once you are done select Save and your products will be downloaded into the app. 2.GENERAL SETTINGS You can adapt your general settings by going to the Menu and selecting Settings. In this page you can indicate whether you want to automatically open your cash drawer, print your receipts, show your product images and add-ons. You can also choose how many orders you want to be able to have open at the same time. 3. HARDWARE SETTINGS In the settings you can also set a preferred payment provider ( Menu > Settings > Payment ), printer ( Menu > Settings > Printer ) and bar-code scanner ( Menu > Settings > Barcode scanner ) How you connect those depends on the specific device and type of hardware you are using. 9 4. ACCOUNT SETTINGS in Menu > Settings > Account you can manually re-sync your products with the dashboard by selecting Refresh Products. You can also set ad admin PIN and protect certain sections of the app with a pass-code. You can set the code and handpick the pages you want to protect with it. 5. CHANGING THE CURRENCY You can change the currency you want to use by heading over to Menu > Settings > Currency. If your currency isn t in the list, just let us know and we ll add it for you. 6. START TESTING Once you ve synced your hardware and setup all your preferred settings in the app and dashboard you are ready to start using the product. We recommend you try to make sales, run transactions, process refunds, print receipts, receipts, process partial payments and reward discounts for a full experience. July 2015 Page 6

11 1. Will the app still work if I don t have a stable Internet connection? Yes. Though we'd recommend a stable connection, the app will still work if the internet goes down. When you lose your connection, you will still be able to make transactions with the app. Once your connection is back up, these transactions will be updated to the online dashboard. 2. What hardware do I need to get started? That really depends on the type of store you run. We offer multiple hardware kits, ranging from a full solution including a printer, cash drawer, tablet stand and bar-code scanner to a small kit with the basics. If you aren't looking for a kit, you can also buy separate hardware items. July 2015 Page 7
